'Do you ever feel like a plastic bag
Drifting throught the wind
Wanting to start again

Do you ever feel, feel so paper thin
Like a house of cards
One blow from caving in'

Brainy didn't feel like a hero that Superman told him he was. He felt like a loser as he sat in his room, his legs pulled up to his chest and his arms wrapped around them in a sort of embrace as he hid his tear filled eyes. He wanted to disappear, hid from the world.

'Do you ever feel already buried deep
Six feet under scream
But no one seems to hear a thing

Do you know that there's still a chance for you
Cause there's a spark in you

You just gotta ignite the light
And let it shine
Just own the night
Like the Fourth of July'

A knock at the door made him jump slightly, whipping his eyes rapidly with his hands before who ever it was could see him. The door opened without his consent, revealing a nervous looking Superman.

The Kryptonian gave the green skinned boy a small smile, his hands playing with the end of his cape as he walked in, the door shutting behind him.

"Heard you've been in here for a while." Brainy nodded as Superman spoke, moving to the head of his bed as he made room for the other to sit down. "I'm worried about you Brainy. You're a hero, I know you feel bad because of what happened, but that was him, this is you." He placed his hand gentley on Brainys arm. "And no matter what you say, I think your amazing."

Brainy blushed, why didn't he feel amazing?

'Cause baby you're a firework
Come on show 'em what you're worth
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
As you shoot across the sky-y-y

Baby you're a firework
Come on let your colors burst
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
You're gunna leave 'em fallin' down-own-own'

"I don't feel amazing. I feel horrible." Brainy said, looking away, too many emotions running through him.

"But Brainy you are, you made me rethink so much about myself. You made me learn that I am a hero even when I don't feel like I made the right choice." Superman leaned closer. "I mean it Brainy. Every word I say I mean."

Brainys body leant closer without his consent, his face inches away from Supermans. "Really?"

"You better believe it."

'Maybe you're reason why all the doors are closed
So you could open one that leads you to the perfect road
Like a lightning bolt, your heart will blow
And when it's time, you'll know

You just gotta ignite the light
And let it shine
Just own the night
Like the Fourth of July

Cause baby you're a firework
Come on show 'em what you're worth
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
As you shoot across the sky-y-y'

Brainy felt his breath hitch as Superman closed the gap between them, his lips claiming his green ones. Brainy didn't move away or try to break the kiss, in fact he even wrapped his arms around him, kissing back slightly. Superman kept his hands still at his sides, still worried about how Brainy was going to be when the kiss broke, but when felt him kiss back he placed his hands lightly on his purple clad hips, pulling away when he needed air.

"I l-like you." Superman whispered, watching Brainys cheeks heat up again.

"I like you to Super- Clark." He placed a hand on Clarks, smiling slightly.

"You're my hero, and you always will be."
