Author's Note:

This is literally the shortest fic I have written in my entire life. It's just this little angsty thing about Ten's regeneration. Here you go.

Life literally flashes before my eyes. I feel the fire surging through me, turning ever atom into a glowing, golden particle of pure energy. Strands of excess light float around me, extending from my hands. I hear whispering voices, echoes of my past, floating through my head, from my previous forms and companions. There is an intense burst of pain in both of my hearts, and I scream out as the warm flames turn into scalding blasts of heat, and I throw back my head and arms.

I don't want to go.

My soul tries to reassert itself inside of a quickly deteriorating body, and eventually gives up and flutters helplessly above my head, invisible. For a split second, I am empty, and then I let out a gust of air from my lungs, and the fire is gone from my body. I have a new form, new flesh, new bones, a new mind, but I will never forget my previous life. Perhaps it will be shoved to the back of my mind, to avoid pain, but it is never, ever, EVER lost.

Just want to say thanks to BlackHawk since I could not reply to their review. :) Out of curiosity, which errors did you spot? I would like to know so that I can watch out for them in the future, since I'm not too great at grammar. Thanks. :)
