Prologue

Saya calmly walked down a hallway lined with pillars. Behind her was the sound of battle, but ahead of of there was only a song.

She soon entered a large room with a vaulted ceiling and archways over the doors leading out of it. A large round bed filled with pillows sat in the middle of the room. Diva sat on the edge of the bed, singing. When she saw Saya she stopped and smiled slowly.

Saya tightened her grip on her sword before stepping closer. Diva stood to meet her. Saya stopped only a foot away.

"Saya," Diva said as she held out her left hand, "let us become one."

Saya transferred her sword to her left hand and placed her right hand in Diva's left. "Yes, let us end this."

Diva pulled Saya along with her as she turned and crawled to the center of the bed. Saya dropped her sword to the floor before sitting next to Diva.

They faced each other, stared into the mirror with opposite eyes. Saya felt her body float down until she lay on her side, still gazing into Diva's eyes. Her body curved and Diva's curved to fit the space. They lay, staring into the mirror.

Haji raced down the tunnel, Solomon close at his heels. Diva's other chevaliers were dead. Years of fighting, and it had ended so easily. He and Solomon had set to fighting, when they sensed something was wrong.

They knew the queens were in the room at the end . They knew one was likely dead. Thy only wondered which.

Bursting into the room, they arrived just in time to see Saya's fangs slip out of Diva's neck as Diva gave a small lick to the corresponding wound in Saya's neck. Both sets of eyes were half closed, but the last sight they saw was of their chevaliers and the last sound was their twin's last sighing breath.

Solomon was the first to recover, slowly approaching the bed were the girls peacefully lay. There was no longer any breath. Haji stood in the doorway, moving only when he heard the labored breathing of the only other remaining chevalier behind him. The boy had obviously broken away from his brother and ran a great distance, drawn by his connection to Saya.

Riku saw the two bodies lying prone on the pillows and tears pooled in his eyes. He ran past Haji and reached for Saya as Solomon sat next to Diva's still form.

"Saya...Saya...!" Riku cried as he reached out to touch her pale skin. Tears fell from his cheeks to spot the fabric of the bed. "They... They're both dead aren't they?"

"They both decided it was best to go peacefully, together, than end it together in a desperate battle. It was their choice." Haji said in his steady voice. Saya had asked him that in the end she would die along with her sister. Diva had probably felt the same.

Solomon looked down with sad eyes at the two girls. "Yes. They are together now, as they haven't been for so long."

Even with this small attempt at comfort, Riku still spilled tears. And the other two men still felt the gripping loss in their hearts.

Something else from 5 years back; I found a lot of old stuff in a folder and are now sharing it with you. I also wrote this either before the 2nd season, or because I wasn't liking the way it was going. Either way, it deviates quite a bit from storyline. More chapters to come.
