AN: The poem is mine but the story is not. All credit goes to Rumiko Takahashi for the Inuyasha storyline. So, this poem is obviously just a reflection from a narrator's perspective, don't read too much into it. And if you like it I'd be happy to hear from you!
Tale of the Dog-Demon
He was killed
And she as well
Then their souls were left in Hell
He, a thief, left her nothing but pain
And in the end by her hand was slain
Fifty years pass
No hope of peace
Before he found a way of release
His savior, a girl from a modern age
Withdrew the curse to keep a monster at bay
This task completed, he turned again
To take the Jewel that had been his end
But a village woman knew well his plot
And instead of a gem, 'twas a spell that he got
So he was stuck with this modern-day girl
Whose arrow had shattered the magical pearl
Now they must search for every last part
Before another can reclaim the Shards.
