"It's so silent. It has been a lot lately. I wonder if it's because of an Incident that I'm not aware of. Or maybe it's simply that I don't really go out and be social these days. After all. Where should I go? Beside the village and Marisa's place of course". Alice sat in her chair while grooming Shanghai's long golden hair. Her only company. Her dolls. Always there. With her side. That's why She made them. To not be lonely all the time… Well, that's what she was going for. After all. She was the one to make them move.
The seven colored puppeteer. Alice looked in Shanghai's eyes, that were looking at hers with concern. The puppet knew that her master was lonely at times. That for the puppet made a pretty smile and stood up saying "Shanghaai". While hugging her master, her mother. "oh" Alice was a bit surprised by the sudden movement, and hugged the doll. "Don't worry.." Alice said as Shanghai backed and flew to the kitchen to get her some tee.
Alice stood up and walked to her drawing board, which had pieces of an unfinished doll all over it. " I really need to be more organised". Sighed the puppeteer, while grabbing the unfinished torso of a doll. Another Hourai. Alice looked true the window to a pretty heavy rain. No reason to go anywhere today it seemed. "Well then. Let's get you done". Said Alice while pulling the chain under her, and picking up the needle. It did not took long time for the puppeteer to finish the new Hourai.
She was a magician after all, and there wasn't much thing to do in a rainy day like this. Alice tied the bow to The puppet's hair. "All done". Said Alice, while taking a look at her new doll, and standing up for a good stretch after sitting for the whole day.
The puppeteer walked to her bookshelf and grabbed her grimmoire. While she tried to find the right page. the smell of and old paper flee to the standing air. "here it is". She said and put her finger on a certain page of the Grimmoire. The spell that brings the doll to alive. Well…kinda. After it is a doll. " Alright." Said Alice while walking back to the drawing board, where the doll sat lifeless. "Time for you to become a Hourai". Said Alice and started to say the certain spell to bring the doll alive.
Minutes passed. Alice started to get angry and disappointed. "Why won't you live?!" Shouted the puppeteer while holding the puppet in her hands. She knew that the Hourai should had moved by now. "Why won't you say anything to your mother?" Alice continued, but felt a hand in her shoulder. She turned. It was Shanghai. She looked sad.
Alice knew that Shanghai wanted Alice to stop. It wasn't gonna change a thing. So she did. "I'm disappointed in you" Said Alice gloomy and throwed the doll back to the table. Shanghai seemed to be a bit calmer, but Alice couldn't get the thing out of her mind. Why didn't the doll came to live? Why didn't it want Alice to be it's master. It's mom?. It was already late in the evening. She might just go to sleep and try it again tomorrow.
Alice got herself in her warm and comfy bed, which had the smell of home. Slowly she drifted to sleep. Still bothered by the doll on the board. " You will accept me as your mother eventually" she humbled and fell asleep.
The things that this certain doll was about to do and be. The puppeteer had no idea. Nobody had. That one doll. that didn't live. For now.
