Bella Thinks

Bella Thinks

My world was like a dark ocean

Still and silent

I had no sun, but yet I was not unsatisfied

For I knew not what a sun was

And was ignorant to the beauty of life

And then you rose

Like the sun upon my still waters

And brightened my waves with your beams of light

But still, you hesitated

And no sun touched the dark bottom

And then you were gone

But the sun was burned in the back of my eyes

And though all returned to as it was before

My waters could only think of the sparkles you had given them

And I felt as though my world had ended

And then again you rose

And promised to forever stay

And my waves rejoiced to the sun

And the beauty that was given to me by you

And the depth of my ocean was bathed in light

And I am happy

Forever in your arms

Caressed by the cold warmth I am given

And comforted by the thought

That my sun will not leave me again
