Chapter 1 : Rejection?
Three years ago she would have stood here and slapped the man standing in front of her. Then again, three years ago, things were different. Garfield Mark Logan stood there in front of her, a real smile on his face for once. All coherent thoughts flew out of her mind. She stood in the same place a few years back, to say goodbye to him. She was happy that he was leaving back then. He had nearly hurt Kori with his rage. And he went away because of that. He came back for one reason and one reason only, to see her. "Why are you here?" her voice came out as a growl even though she was so happy inside. "I'm only here for a day. I'll leave right after I'm done. I promise." He said, full of determination, yet, his eyes seem to betray what his voice said. He didn't want to go away, and he wasn't sure of what the outcome would be. "You didn't answer my question. Why are you here?" "I'm here to say something to you. But, I just need the courage to do it first." "I don't want to listen to anything you have to say Garfield. I don't ever want to hear what you have to say, you have my word." Garfield's face crumbled before her. His eyes just went blank. "Raven please. Listen to what I have to say." "Don't waste my time." She felt her heart ache at the sight before her. She wanted to listen! She wanted to hear what he had to say. But she couldn't. She couldn't betray her friend. Three years ago, Garfield Mark Logan lunged at Kori Anders, now Kori Grayson. He punched her in the face then resumed to punch her boyfriend. The whole group of them didn't know what to think. Gar didn't apologize, nor did he say anything. He just turned and strode out of the room in a casual pace. The next day, he had called Raven and told her to meet him at the airport. She merely thought he was going to say he was sorry, but in truth, he wanted to say goodbye. That was the last he saw of her, until she received a letter telling her to meet him at the airport. "I'm sorry Raven. It really was a waste of time. Thanks anyway. Tell the guys I said hi." "Why would they actually listen to you?" "Vic knows. Bye Raven. I'll see you around sometime, maybe." "Goodbye, Garfield."
That's it for chappie one! I know, it's short. But, please review!!
