This poem was very hard to do. It was so difficult getting the right atmosphere.

I was thinking about how Jirachi can grant wishes, and imagining a person spending all his life searching for Jirachi. Even after death, he passes the task on to his children, but the dream never seems to come true (because Jirachi only comes out once every millennium). So here is the poem that was inspired by that weird fantasy.

The format was (sort of) inspired by Angel of Life by within winter's grace (though the content is totally different). I do not own Pokemon.

- Dream of a Star -

You

dream
Dream of me
Sleep, see me in shaky images
Of showering shine of stars
Of whispers that transcend time

hope
Hope it isn't just a dream
Imagine the unchanging, wavering light
Extend your arm to the shimmering rain
Watch the glitter fall on your palm and fade

search
Seek me out
Cross the world in a ship of dreams
Find the land beyond the distances
watch the star fall through the treetops
wait a thousand years

listen
Can you hear the whispering?
Every wish that was ever made on me?
Does your voice join the thousands?

Can you hear your voice fading... ... ...?

die
Wait for me till your death
Pass on the legacy down the centuries
Watch from heaven beyond the stars

As your great grandchildren chase me
Chase the shifting dream
Fall down in tears
Fade away

All for the sake of one wish.

all for the sake of me.

If you hadn't noticed, the uncapitalised italics lines form a sentence. It's "You dream...hope...search...listen...die...all for the sake of me." Hopefully, you understood the poem. Review please.
