Claiming of the Dis: My dog swears he owns FFVIII, but I don't believe him. Alas, this leaves me in the position of not owning it either.

Enter Rinoa Heartily, Goddess of destruction and beauty – at least, that's what the script called for. Rinoa shook her head in disdain, causing her night-like strands of hair to spray upon her face. 'Just who do they think I am? I'd have to be vain as Quistis would play this part!' She sat alone in her garden dorm, looking over the school's script for the upcoming play. Finding that the rest of the play was just as tasteless, she threw it down on her coffee table, and got up to make some tea. Tea always seemed to calm her nerves – except when she was with him. Ever since the night that they had returned and 'spoke' on the balcony, they had been surrounded by other people, not allowing them to experience their newfound happiness.

He was one of the reasons that she liked living at Garden though, and another was the constant activity. If you ever felt lonely, you could just walk out into the halls no matter the time of day and talk with a group of cheerful students. The staff was great, and the food was fine (although she'd never let Zell know she liked the hotdogs too.) She wasn't technically a student, but she was allowed many of the privileges of one – mainly because of her participation in the 'problem' that had occurred. This meant that she could use the infirmary, training area, and go to class – even speak with the headmaster any time she wished. 'Too bad that doesn't extend to the commander' she thought with a grin. Then again, if she was allowed to talk with the commander any time she wished alone, he probably wouldn't be getting much done. 'Well, besides me that is.' Shocked at her own thoughts, she burst out laughing and decided that as long as she was cooped up in this room, she wouldn't be able to get them out of her mind. Pulling on her sky blue tie-on, she grabbed her keys and started off towards the Quad after locking her door.

As she was walking through the halls of Garden, she thought about just why she had been granted a room. She had the suspicion that it was so they could watch for her sorceress powers leaking out, but if this were the case it wasn't mentioned to her. 'Well, I suppose it wouldn't be' she thought, smiling. A male student on the path smiled back, misinterpreting the direction of her smile. "Hi Nida, how is everything?" she said, slowing down a bit. "Not too bad, the commander has been looking for you by the way. It seemed a little important." Rinoa frowned, "I wonder what it is." "Don't bring up my telling you up, he actually hasn't said anything. I can just tell cause he started staring at the Dorm section and mumbling to himself about every half an hour."

'Well, well, did I scare the lion?' This time holding in her grin, she replied, "Thanks, I'll go talk to him. Bye Nida." "No problem Rinoa, see ya later."

Going to see Squall was better that the Quad anyway, so she quickened her pace a bit and headed to the elevator. She had almost made it when from out of nowhere, pain erupted in the back of her head. Just before losing consciousness, she saw the familiar smirk of a gold head, one that should be dead.

Seifer.
