Mt. Saint Helens Explosion

Prologue:

Bella watched from a distance as the young, frail looking boy made his way to the lake. Lately, he'd been going there a lot, but why though? No one knew, so she decided to follow him, from a distance of course, the boy was too observant for his own good.

Bella was reminded constantly of herself whenever she thinks of him. The boy was not only observant like herself, but he also crossed paths with the mythological world, whether he knew it or not. He too faced death before multiple times. He was as well selfless, and would do anything for a person he cared for, even if that means dying for them.

As far as the Cullens knew, he wasn't human, not fully human anyway. His behavior didn't prove this, but his blood did. His blood, although still recovering from whatever had happened to him, was had a strange powerful, almost ancient like smell to it. It was so powerful that sometimes we had trouble preventing ourselves from drinking dry. Even the pack had trouble not killing him and it's in their nature to protect humans, so that just proves the fact he's not. It's like he was fated to die an early death.

Anyway, the boy had reached the lake and was taking his shoes and his jacket off. Then he just jumped into the lake. She gasped. The water was too cold, he could get sick. He wasn't fully human but he could still get sick, in fact that was the only reason he was staying with them in the first place. However, as she watched, Bella began to see that the opposite was going on. Instead of getting sick, he was actually getting better!

Color was returning to his cheeks, and he looked so…alive as if the water was his home and he was coming back after a long time. A normal human wouldn't be able to notice this, they'd just think that he looked like he was having fun. But of course she noticed and she thought that she'd gotten the first clue as to what he was.

If only she knew just how accurate she was.
