Prologue:

Love is something that universal, it said to outlive time and to be the strongest force in the world. It so strong that it is need as much the water we drink and the air we breathe. We are willing to sacrifice anything in the name this true for mortal and non mortal alike. It proves the worth of a soul and so much more. But how much is one willing to sacrifice well I guess that depends on the person themselves and the person the love.

This is where our story begins:

Long ago when time was young, deep within the sands of time; There was Egypt. It was a lovely place ruled by the gods and goddess the people worshiped. Each day the people of the land would thank the sun god Ra, for it was he who kept the Snake god, Apophis, god of Chaos and destruction away every night. But soon that wasn't enough. Each night on his way towards the underworld as the sun rested and the moon rose, Apophis would attack. Try as he might to fight off the snakes efforts on nights of the eclipse where darkness rein is was thought that even mighty Ra lost the battle. Ra as prideful as he was decided it was time to call on help from his brethren. And in the unlikest of partnerships, Seth the most hated and despised of the gods offered his hand. Night after night Seth fought Apophis to the point he land what seemed like a critical blow. Prideful as Seth was he boasted how Ra should worship him instead for it was he who killed the mighty Apophis. But Apophis used his pride and made it arrogance till it came to pass that Seth was cast out of the land and his act of love was turned to hate. Years passed as each night Ra faced the mighty Apophis only to lose of the night of eternal darkness. But in the shadows of despair came hope Ra's only daughter, Bastet decided she would protect her father. And that pure act of love that would haunt her for all eternity.

On the night of pure darkness when the earth comes between the moon and sun, when there is no light for day or night, the day of pure darkness. This day was known as Apophis's Rising. On this night, Re once again began his decent into the underworld only to stop by the giant serpent. Apophis boasted how the great sun was alone and would know defeat, but un-knowst to Apophis. Bastet lurked in the shadows in her dark form, Phast with her all seeing eye, "the Utchat". With her cat like grace she defended her father and ultimately killed the serpent of Darkness. But with his final breath he uttered words that haunt the goddess for an eternity, "So this is the cause of my defeat, "Love" What a feeble emotion that so easily crushed. Do not think this over my goddessss of the moon. For the love you have shown on this un-holiest night. Love will forever be beyond ye and ye kin's grasp. For as long as darkness lives, you will never have a love that's true especially that of the Sun and of the Moon." And with his last words Bastet cut off the neck of the vile snake. After that Bastet became as the Lady of Re, Snake Devourer, Right Eye of Re, and Goddess of Sun. She became well known and highly worshiped until that fateful day.
