Preface
(Jaspers POV)
"Sweetie there's something I have to tell you" I heard my mother ask.
"What?" I asked, getting up from my place on the couch. As I stepped closer I saw that she had been crying.
"I'm so sorry" she cried "She's gone". As she said this, the words circled around in my head.
She's gone, she's gone, she's gone
With that I feel to the floor crying, I knew that a grown man should never cry but I did. I let it all go as my mother, wrapped her arms around me as I cried into her shoulder.
The funeral was held a few days later, I sat at the front of the church listening as tears dripped down my face. I clutched my mother's hand in my own. At that point in time, I didn't care what anyone thought of me and just sat silently crying. The priest was nice enough as he offered his condolences and a few people got up and talked about my dead wife's life.
After the ceremony I walked up to the casket, with tears falling down my face, I whispered to me wife.
"I'll love you forever and I won't forget you" I whispered to the casket, placing my hand on it.
