A/N: So…How is everyone? Feeling good? I imagine that a lot of you who'll be reading this won't know or remember me, but I've been here for a bit…Maybe a year or two…I know, not that long compared to others, but seriously, some of the older stories really are very neglected looking…No one ever reviews those…Anyways, this is my first attempt at AU, so don't kill me, kay?
Disclaimer: I own nothing. Not even my sox. And I heart my sox. They're tasty.

To See a Rainbow

'What a dreary day…' I sighed, lonely as ever, seeing as how I was going to a new school, a new town, even a new state…I was losing all my friends…Not that I had any, though…they were backstabbers. Fuck them, they deserve it.
"Sora, Honey!! Are you gonna get out of the car or are you just gonna lay there sleeping? We're here!!"
"Coming, mom. I just have to try and get outta this…ocean…of stuff…" I gestured wildly, waiting for the soft, kind giggle that would always cheer me up.
"Oh, Sora…You're such a kidder…Hurry up and grab some boxes, there's a lot to unpack!" She giggled, running away to attend to something in the house, maybe to talk to the movers. Once I got out of the car, I looked around to get a good look at my surroundings.
It felt and smelled like I was near the ocean, with salt and breeze on the air, but not quite…There was something else…A forest fire? Scanning the horizon, I quickly spotted the direction of the fire. I figured that, yea, it was the time of the year for Oregon to have forest fires, but I didn't know they were so close to the coast! I always pictured them being in the mountains…
"Sora! Come see your new room!!"
"Where is it?" I asked, getting a quick "upstairs" as a response.
"Oooh, we have stairs…Our old house didn't have any stairs…"
"Yea…And there's a beautiful view, honey, you can see all the way out to the intercostals…"
"I could get some good pictures from that…Maybe I'll see a rainbow…"
A/N: Kinda random, yes, but you'll see later on what the rainbows are for. I like rainbows. I have a rainbow bracelet :D It's awesome…
