I absolutly LOVED the episode of Bones where Booth was dreaming in his coma. I also loved the story that Brennan wrote while he was in it. I decided to use her springboard to create what I thought was what she probably wrote. Hope you like. I don't own Bones and its characters.
People say you only live once. But people are as wrong about that as they are wrong about everything. In the darkest moments before dawn a woman returns to her bed. What life is she leading? Is it the same life the woman was leading half an hour ago? A day ago? A year ago? Who is this man? Do they lead separate lives, or is it a single life shared? A storm approaches. A still over the horizon, but there is lightning in the air. Are either of them aware of the gathering turbulence? Can they feel the crackling of electricity in the wind? Or are they only aware of the power they generate between themselves? The first hint of the storm is not a thunderclap. It is a knock. That knock can be the start of something bad, or the start of something grander. Like the beauty of ones own inner feelings. However, somethings need to be stopped. Even that perfect moment we share with others, sometimes needs to be stopped. Other things channel us to move on and keep going with our lives. Mostly jobs.
She has never seen a dead body before. He was in the Army and has seen too many. When you have seen to many it just looks routine, but for those who haven't. Emotions begin to whirl and anything can feel like everything. Suddenly you just feel the urge to walk away. Friends and co-workers are always there, it seems to get you back on your feet, when really it is the one closest to you that is the only one who can truly give you that sense of security that the heart begs for. Sometimes the best cure is just to walk away. Perhaps, seeing your first dead body can be the start of something greater. When looking at the dead, we only think about the life they led, but for the ones left behind, we think about the aftermath and whats next, rather than what was left behind.
So what do you think? Should I continue Brennans book?? Review!!!!
