First House M.D poem

Deep blue eyes blended with green

a smile on her face, but her pain can be seen

a kiss on the lips signifies it all

she looks at him, he turns to the wall

his white knuckles meet cherry wood cane

his leg, the only true sign of his pain

sad little smile, tears down her face

three whole years she gives up the race

Time goes on, building the tension

the moment gone, not even a mention

emotions on a high the eyes set the scene

the sadness echoes what could have been

the pain unbearable for all to see

eyes begging with her silent plea

Tension, ripping them both apart

he takes a step feeling the beating of her heart

He watches her move, his eyes darting

all over her body emotions starting

an embrace, simple yet moving

his love for her his eyes are proving

He, is the prize she wanted

her love for him always unpromted

their smiles mirror each other

as she finally, gets to call him, her lover
