'Say mumma.'
'Say dadda'
'Say scrawny git.'
'George!' said Ginny indignantly. 'We already have one child whose first words were something inappropriate at a young age.' Ginny nodded to James, who was watching a tiny, self – playing Quidditch set. Every time the other team would score a goal, he would yell 'BLOODY HELL!' at the top of his lungs.
'He can say it clearer now. And says it more. 'Ginny said, rather sadly.
'What else can he say?' George asked. His face was the complete opposite of Ginny's; it was lit up in excitement.
'Mummy, daddy, uncle, aunty…the basics.'
George's face fell.
'That's no fun! You gotta teach him fun words!'
'I'm not teaching my son swear words!'
'He's gonna learn them anyway. Besides, it's not swear words. Insults for Malfoy's kid when he goes to school. My kids know them.' George boasted.
'I bet Angelina's happy,' Hermione said, heavy sarcasm dripping her voice.
'She's not, for some reason.' George said with a frown.
Ginny rolled her eyes.
'Anyway,' she said, turning back to Albus. Al, who at first watched the adults with interest, had got bored and began to stack cushions and sitting on top of them, until he fell off them onto the floor.
'This little guy is going to say something decent.'
'Scrawny git, scrawny git, scrawny git…'
'George!'
'Come on, buddy,' Harry said, lying on the ground on his stomach. . 'Try to say dadda.'
Al simply gurgled and climbed up his newly – stacked cushions.
Harry sighed and sat up.
'BLOODY HELL!'
The adults turned to James.
'Come on, James. Let's go play some real Quidditch, shall we? And you too.' Harry turned around and grinned at Albus. Al instantly tumbled off his cushions and ran to where his toy broom stick is.
'And who brought you this broomstick?' Harry smiled, hoping Al would say daddy or dad, or something like tha-
'Sawny gee!'
Harry's smile slid off his face.
'What? Who brought you the broomstick?' Ginny asked quickly.
'Skawny – geet!'
There was a silence. Then –
'I LOVE YOUR KID!'
George picked up Albus and whirled him around, kissing his forehead, face glowing with happiness.
Then he saw Ginny. He calmly set Albus down, and ran. He plastered himself to the corner of the room, with Ginny's wand pointed at his face.
