Flowers

No, still don't own them.

It had been a really long day. Students did not want to concentrate on their class work. Kitty rubbed her forehead as she remembered the paper airplanes she kept plucking out of the air. That fun had abruptly ended when Lockheed started flaming the paper out of the air. It wasn't as much fun with fire going off over their heads.

Then she caught five students in the closet smooching. The fifth student had a mop in his arms and Kitty thought that was embarrassing enough and just left him alone. The others she marched off to the head master's office.

When she got back to the apartment the twins had cornered their babysitter who was playing dead. This was only ruined by the occasional oof as one of the two year olds landed on top of him. Kurt was good at watching the kids. Kitty was so glad he was at the mansion. Growing up around him would mean they wouldn't go through the same shocks later in life that she did. Kurt scrambled up as he saw her watching them. One of the twins was hanging from his tail while the other had grabbed his hand and wouldn't let go. Instead of leaving he handed Kitty a note and turned around, scooping the girls up in his arms and heading for the kitchen.

Kitty opened the note, "Meet me in the clearing." She smiled, this was the clearing where they had spent a restless picnic right before that night. Kitty waved at Kurt on her way out as his cooking permeated the air.

She reached the clearing and was handed a bouquet of red roses by a man with a violin before escorted to a blanket that held a picnic basket and a blanket. "Happy Valentine's Day," Peter said, greeting her with a kiss.

She returned the kiss with the thought that each Valentine's Day kept getting better and better.
