NCIS fan ficlet for the end of my version of the NCIS series finale by mnstonecold
NCIS is owned by Bellisarius Productions and Paramount Televison
She still smelled of ash and smoke. She could remember all of the explosion, but afterward it was just images. Dark dust filled air, chocking her and the heavy thing on her as she tried to get up. Then the ambulance ride to Bethesda. She remembered it because she had a similar feeling when she rode with Roy to the hospital.
Ziva David watched the television from her hotel room, as she dreaded the upcoming special on ZNN. She hasn't wanted to talk about it or even think of it until now. But she needs closure. At least that's what Ducky said when he came by with Jimmy two days ago. She was not the only one affected.
Abby had been an emotional wreck since it happened. But so was everyone else, Hollis, the director, everyone.
The special begins as the camera closes into view of the caskets. She sees almost everyone form the office is there. She also see's Mike Franks and Camilla there. She sees a balding white haired man she once was introduced to by the name of Morrow. And of course Ducky, Jimmy, Abby and Jenny are there. They all file by the casket on display in the main entrance of the navy yard.
She then begins to feel the loss of those who were so close to her. Her brother Ari, who was there when it happened. She can't begin to forgive him for making her believe he was dead long ago but she now has to come to terms with it. But that is as far as she can think as she begins to cry as the tears burn the fragile skin and singed flesh on her face and arms.
After all is done the NCIS fallen agents memorial will have two new pictures. Currently there are Chris Pacci who passed in 2004. Paula Cassidy in 2007. A few more are shown until the one we all remember-Caitlin Todd May 24, 2005. Then a maintenance man adds the two new pictures-Anthony D. DiNozzo and Leroy Jethro Gibbs.
A flashback when Tony returned in Bury your dead and when Gibbs left at the end of Hiatus part 2.
He looks at the team and says, "Semper fi."
And this is the end of
NCIS.
