Hello All! This is a companion piece to my story "Harry's First Crush!" but it can stand on its own.
Lizzy Madigan had just turned 20 on a bright May day, and was very excited. She was walking through the streets of her old town, Little Whinging, when she saw a figure that was vaguely familiar standing in front of her old daycare center. She blinked several times when she realized who it was.
"Harry Potter? Is that you?" she asked. Harry turned, expecting to see some reporter or admirer. Instead, he saw a slightly recognizable girl.
"Harry, it's me! Lizzy Madigan! You gave me a paper flower when we were five!" she continued excitedly.
"Lizzy?" said Harry. He was remembered the bubbly blonde girl as a five year old, and she still had the same chubby cheeks and was still pretty. He assumed she was very popular and had had many boyfriends in the past. "Hey, how have you been? It has certainly been a while."
"I've been great! I just got a job at an interior design company, and I'm getting married in July. What about you?"
"Well, I have a girlfriend and work for the – er - law enforcement," he said, trying to find a suitable cover for the Aurors.
"So, do you live here?" she asked. "Where did you go to school? I didn't see you at the public schools."
"Well, I – er – went to a boarding school. Where did you go?"
"My mother sent me too an all girls school…" she trailed off when Ginny came up and tugged on Harry's sleeve. "Uh, this must be your girlfriend…?"
"Ginny," Harry finished. "Gin, this is a friend from school, Lizzy. We just bumped into each other."
"Hello, Harry never told me he had friends other than my brother," Ginny said using no tact.
"We shared a love of paper crafts," Lizzy said with a wink. "I must be going now. Nice seeing you again Harry." Lizzy left with a bounce. Ginny turned to him.
"Have you finished looking around?" she said with a smirk.
