Disclaimer: I don't own Zoey Dean, or anything she has invented, including the world this story is set in.

Clark Gable shut off the ignition, took out the keys, opened her door, and slowly stepped out of her small, baby blue VW Beetle. She tossed one of her long, thick golden braids over her shoulder and stared in disbelief at the house her father had bought for her and her mother. It was her father's way of saying sorry to her and Mrs. Gable that he had to move to Singapore and also had to leave them behind for two years. Her father, once a small-time investor in the stock markets, had recently made several billion dollars with one of his carefully planned investment, something he had been wanting to do for a long time but had almost given up hope of accomplishing. He now had a six-figure-annual-salary job at a stock market company and was buying property like crazy. They never would have been able to afford a house like this before the Accomplishment, as her parents reffered to the family's ridiculously lucky break through. Clark slowly took off her aviators and ran up to join her mom, who was on the porch of the house with a house key in her hand.

"This is something else, huh, honey?" Asked her mom. "I'll say," she answered, then looked pointedly at the key in her mother's hand. "Are you going to let us in?" Joan Gable blushed. "Oh, yes, of course." She fiddled with the lock on the front door and then rested her chocolate hand on the doorknob. "Well, here goes."

They both stepped through to the main hallway, stunned. The house was beautiful and gigantic, over 8,000 square feet. Clark went to a stairway, dragging her red, battered suitcase behind her. "Um, I guess I'll just pick a room. Haha." She laughed nervously. Her mother, still gazing at her surroundings, nodded, "Sounds great. I'll order pizza for dinner." Clark nodded and went upstairs, then opened the first door she came to.

The room she had picked was large, complete with it's own bath, but it managed to still feel cozy. It had a great windowseat, and a nice view of a green park. She put her stuff down and then, since she had no furniture yet (the moving van was due the next day) went back downstairs.

A/N: Don't worry, this story IS set in A-list world...Clark will meet the delightful Cammie, Dee, Sam, and Anna (Not to mention a few guys) tomorrow.
