A/N: Nothing too fantabulous here, folks. I've decided to give writing 100 word drabbles a try. Constructive criticism is welcome, but remember, flames roast my toasty marshmallows! (I don't have cookies or coffee from photo class, so if you want a review, I hope that will suffice.)
For this first drabble, I wrote it from Ginny's point of view, thinking about Harry, but it could be applied to any character. Again, I own nothing that was written by J.K Rowling. Enjoy!
Waiting for a Soldier Boy After Midnight
The clock on the wall ticked incessantly.
She could only sit in the chair with the solitary candle, hoping for a miracle.
She told herself she would not fall asleep until he came back.
She feared she might never sleep again.
It was for her own protection that she had to stay behind.
It was for her own protection that she couldn't be with him.
It pained her, but it mattered more that he was happy,
Even if she couldn't be with him.
She wished that time had stopped the first day she met him,
But the clock kept ticking.
End A/N: Like I said, constructive criticism welcome, and wOOt 100 words exactly!
