Disclaimer: I don't own Dragonball Z.

A/N: Just a quick drabble I did for Macha's challenge on the DBZ Fanfic Salon, based on the prompt 'preemptive apology'.

Preemptive Apology

Her body slides ever so slightly towards him, gravity pulling her closer as his weight causes the bed to dip. She hums in half-sleep as his arm curls over her, breath tickling at her neck.

"Chi Chi. I'm sorry."

It's nothing more than a quiet whisper that goes unheard, and does nothing to ease his guilt. But he's waited long enough for this, searching the souls of every earthling child on this planet for that hint of ki that gives it away, that makes his head rush and his heart beat quicker with anticipation.

He's found him again. The kid needs training, desperately, but it's him.

Buu, reincarnated, and someday they'll have their fight.
