According to…Some person with a weird name on some world, Demyx didn't really care enough to remember, there were five stages of grief. Apparently, they didn't apply to Nobodies, since Demyx didn't go through a single one of them. That was completely natural, of course. Grief was something that those without hearts didn't have the joy of going through.

I. Denial
When Axel told Demyx the news, smirking slightly all the while, he was rendered speechless. He felt numb, empty, just like a Nobody should. He said nothing; there was nothing to say. He simply turned and walked away, and sat numbly in his room, strumming mindlessly on his sitar. Somehow, the only things he managed to play all sounded so…melancholy.Never for a moment did he doubt that what Axel said was true. Axel might lie and cheat and manipulate and do anything to get his way (A bit like Zexion, actually.), but there was nothing for him to gain from making Demyx hate him. Or at least wish he had a heart to hate him with.
II. Anger
Demyx is a Nobody. He can't feel.
III. Bargaining
Demyx begged Xemnas for the mission at Hollow Bastion, much to the man's confusion. But it made sense, as IX really was expendable, and it was a suicide mission, after all.
That's not exactly the kind of bargaining that was implied in the five stages, though.
IV. Depression
Demyx is a Nobody. He can't feel.V. Acceptance
Demyx couldn't get over Zexion's death, since there was nothing to get over.
Nobodies can't feel, remember?
