This is just an idea I've had for a couple of weeks, and I eventually stopped being lazy and wrote it up. And I'm still have problems writing my other fic, so I thought I'd write something to try and get the creative juices flowing or some other overused cliché, whatever floats your boat.

Enjoy.

"Belpois! What the heck is this thing!"

Jeremy sighed. By his count, it was the twenty-seventh time Jim had somehow found his way to the supercomputer during a Xana attack. At first, he had enjoyed watching Jim's amazement at being told that the gang of "troublemakers" were actually fighting to protect the world. But now…

Now it was just annoying.

"How are you guys doing?" asked Jeremy. He needed to make sure that his friends on Lyoko were okay before he wasted time with Jim.

"We're fine Einstein," replied Odd. "These monsters are a piece of- AHH!"

"You just lost thirty life points Odd, I guess those monsters aren't as easy as they look."

"Yeah yeah…"

"Life points? Monsters?" repeated Jim, looking confused as always. "Does this have anything to do with the giant rabbit attacking the school?"

"Yeah Jim," answered Jeremy, sighing. He was so tired of this. Eventually he would have to fix the password system for the elevator…

"So what's going on here?!"

Inspiration hit Jeremy like a wrecking ball. In fact, he almost fell out of his chair.

"Well, Jim," Jeremy began, trying to sound dramatic. "Odd, Aelita, Yumi, Ulrich, and I are all… aliens!"

Jim stumbled back and fell to the ground in shock. "What! Are you serious?!"

"Quite serious Jim," Jeremy said, trying his best to contain his laughter. "We have been sent to eradicate the human race with our superior technology! Cower in fear before me, earth monkey!"

Instead of running back into the elevator like Jeremy expected, Jim instead stood up and grabbed a pipe that was leaning against a wall.

"So you want to kill all humans? Like heck you will Belpois, or whatever your name is!" cried Jim, pointing the pipe straight at Jeremy. "Not if I stop you right now!"

Jeremy froze. He hadn't expected Jim to do anything like this. "Hey, Jim," Jeremy said, forcing a laugh. "I was just kidding!"

Jim narrowed his eyebrows. "What a pathetic lie! Do you really think I'm stupid enough to fall for that? It's time I end your evil plot once and for all!"

"Jim, you can't!"

A smirk crossed Jim's face. "Didn't your mother ever tell you? Don't mess with Earth!"

Jim began to charge towards Jeremy, who knew he wouldn't be able to avoid Jim for long. In his few remaining moments, he contemplated how many times Xana had attacked him in this exact same situation, and how he always managed to get out of it. To think that Jim was actually going to finish the job…

There was something funny in there, he was sure.

Aelita's shrill voice sounded in Jeremy's headset. "Jeremy! I've deactivated the tower!"

Jeremy was instantly shaken out of his thoughts, and lunged for the enter key.

"RETURN TO THE PAST NOW!!"

As the white light engulfed him, Jeremy decided that he would just tell Jim the truth from now on, even if it was repetitive.
