"Another Sunrise"

She walked along the shore, the wet sand lightly crushing beneath her feet. Gazing out over the vast waters, she longed to see that familiar ship, sailing in the distance. Her light brown hair swaying along side her white cotton dress in the salty breeze. As the crisp water lapped against her toes, her thoughts wandered to the old pirate tune, A Pirate's Life for Me.

"Yo ho...yo ho...a pirate's life for me..." a smile rose to her face and quickly she put her hand to her lips to suppress the rising giggle in her throat.

Long beaded hair and smoky charcoal eyes swept through her mind. And her heart twisted with an ache so wrenching she collapsed on the sand. She lay there, with her heart ache, realizing feelings previously unkown to herself.

Of course she loved Will. He was a gentleman, honest, brave, loving, and would make a wonderful father. But she longed for the feeling of adventure, of drinking rum and dancing wildly around bond fires, of being filled with a firey passion and the touch of harsh lips brushing against her own.

"Elizabeth, are you alright?"

But such thoughts would never commence, she had chosen this path and had no intention of abandoning this life. As Will helped her up, he pulled her tightly into his arms and smiled, then pressed his lips gently against hers. Her mind became filled with her passion for Will. Her dreams of charcoal eyes were quickly pushed to the back of her mind, and saved for another sunrise. This was her world, her life with Will.
