Like most of my stories, this isn't like the norm. I try to do stories that aren't seen very often, and this is included. This story is one where Vlad has a child, but not just any child...

I hope you enjoy!

Chapter 1: Meet Erika

"You are a disaster in the making. You don't belong here."

Erika closed her eyes and balled her fists, ignoring the insults from her class mates. Her purple and black hair tied in a pony tail bounced against her back as she walked to her locker. Just ignore them. They aren't important.

"Your mother's a slut."

Upon hearing those words, Erika froze. Opening her blue eyes, she turned to face the person who said that. A boy with short brown hair stood smirking at her.

She narrowed her eyes and hissed, "What did you say?"

He bent closer. "Your mother's a slut."

Erika brought her fist up behind her and then in a fluid motion, she punched him squarely in the jaw. The boy whirled and fell to the ground. Then Erika grasped his hair in her hand and pulled back. He yelped out in pain as she held him.

Leaning close to his ear, she growled, "Don't you ever call my mother a slut again, you hear me?"

He didn't answer and she smacked him with her fist. "Do you understand!?" she yelled.

He nodded.

"Sorry, didn't hear that."

"YES!" he cried. Then she let his head go and stepped away from him.

"Good."

Then she saw a shadow loom over her feet. Tilting her head up, she saw the principal. Erika lifted her chin up as she looked at the black haired woman.

"Looks like we're going to have to call your mother again Erika," said the woman.

Later in the Principal's office…

Erika sat on one of the chairs while her mother sat in the other one. The principal sat across from them with her fingers crossed.

"Ms. Peranza, you know this is the third time this month. And I'm sorry to say this, but I have to expel Erika."

"What? I'm sure we can work something out…"

"I'm sorry, but I can't endanger my students anymore to her violent tendencies."

Erika looked up from her slouched position from under her bangs, a frown settling over her face.

Her mother hung her head. "What can I do?"

"Well, I suggest finding her a stable home."

"Okay," her mother responded. Then her mom stood up and shook hands with the principal.

She nudged her daughter and Erika got to her feet and exited the room before her mother. Her mom closed the door and they headed to the car. Once inside, her mother turned to her.

"Erika, you know I don't approve of your fighting."

"He called you a slut."

Her mom froze. Then shifted the car to drive, they drove home where Erika was told to pack her stuff.

When Erika put everything of hers in the trunk, she noticed her mother hadn't grabbed anything. "Mom, why didn't you pack?"

"Just get in the car," replied her mother.

Erika got in the car and sat down, looking at her mother as they drove off.

"Where are we going?" Erika asked.

"I'm dropping you off to you father."

"My father?" Erika asked confused, "I thought he was dead?"

Her mother looked at her. "In some sense he is. He doesn't even know you exist, at least not yet."

Vlad Masters stood in his kitchen, making himself a sandwich. He might have asked a servant to do it, but he was all alone and had to do something to occupy his time other than plotting against Danny.

Once finished making it, he put the condiments away and just as he put the bread and veggies in the fridge, he heard the sound of a car pulling up.

He walked up to the window and looked out. A silver car stopped outside and he watched as the driver's door opened. Before the door closed, the driver spoke to someone inside the car before closing the door and walking up to Vlad's place.

Vlad thought he recognized her but pushed it aside as she rang the door bell and he rushed to the foyer where he smoothed out his shirt and opened the door.

"Hello, what can I do for you?"

"I'm looking for Vlad Masters?"

"You found him."

The woman sagged with relief before looking him up and down. "Thank goodness. It's been years, but I'm glad to see you haven't lost your touch."

"Excuse me, but do I know you?"

She waved her hand. "Sorry, I forgot that you probably wouldn't recognize me anymore. But I'm your old college classmate, Lynda."

Vlad blinked his blue eyes and peered closer. "Lynda? Yes, I can see that. What brings you here."

She looked down. "Now that's the hard part. Remember that time you got jealous of Jack and Maddie and you tried to get back at Maddie for abandoning you for him?"

Vlad nodded, remembering. "We had an, uh…interesting night."

"To say the least."

"What does that mean?" asked Vlad.

Lynda hesitated before walking over to the car and waving for Vlad to follow. "I'd like you to meet someone."

Vlad followed, curiosity getting the best of him. They walked to the car and as he peered inside the window, he saw a girl with her purple hair up in a pony tail, bangs touching her pale blue eyes as she texted on her black touch screen phone.

Lynda knocked on the glass and the girl looked up before opening the door. She grabbed her backpack and slung it over her shoulder. Then she noticed the man behind her mother.

She narrowed her eyes. "Who's this mom," she said.

Lynda looked at the girl, then back at Vlad. Then she walked up to the girl and put her arms around her. Smoothing down the bright purple and black hair, she whispered, "Remember how I told you that you were coming to be with your father?"

"Yes…Is this him?" she whispered back.

Lynda pulled away and nodded. The girl glanced at her mom, then at Vlad, then back again. Lynda looked back at Vlad as the girl went to the trunk and popped it open, pulling out a suit case.

"Vlad, this is Erika, your daughter."

Vlad stared, uncomprehending. Once the news sunk in, he stuttered, "what?"

"When we had that, thing we discussed earlier, I ended up finding out I was pregnant. I didn't tell you because I thought we could handle it by ourselves, but Erika's been getting into too many fights. I don't know where else to send her. I need to get a stable job before I can provide anymore for her."

Just then Erika walked up and got a closer look at Vlad, particularly his eyes. "We have the same eyes," she commented.

Vlad looked over at Lynda as she walked over to their daughter – their sounded so weird to Vlad – and kissed her on the fore head. "I love you," she whispered.

Erika nodded and watched as her mother get in the car and drive away. Once her mother's car had left, she turned to Vlad.

"As long as you stay out of my stuff, we'll get along fine." Then she walked up toward the house. Vlad followed her and led her to one of his guests rooms.

She entered the room and glanced around. It was nothing special, so she pulled her suit case next to her, put her bag on the floor, and plopped down on the bed, texting.

Vlad watched her and she looked up. "What?" she snapped.

Taken aback by her attitude, his jaw dropped. But then answered, "have you eaten yet?"

She nodded then went back to her phone.

"Okay," said Vlad as he went back down stairs to finish his lunch.

Erika glanced up after he'd gone, then looked down at her friend, Monika's text message:

HOW R U?

Erika responded:

GOT IN TROUBLE AGAIN. EXPELED FROM SCHOOL.

Monika:

OH…WHERE R U NOW?

Erika:

MY DEAD FATHER'S HOUSE.

Monika:

OMG! IS HE ACTUALLY DEAD? WHAT TOWN R U IN?

Erika:

WELL, HE LOOKS ALIVE TO ME. WHAT TOWN? I THINK AMITY PARK.

Monika:

DO U KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS?

Erika:

WHAT?

Monika:

THAT CUTE GHOST BOY IS THERE!

Erika rolled her eyes. Monika had only seen reports from the new about him. But Erika could care less about him. Then she looked down when her friend messaged her again:

MAYBE HE COULD HELP U WITH UR U-KNOW-WHAT.

Erika thought about that before texting her reply:

MAYBE…I HAVE TO UNPACK NOW. TTYL!

Monika replied:

K, LATER.

Then Erika set to work on unpacking. Putting her clothes and small make-up and hair supplies in the drawers, she missed her mom and wondered what her new life would be like.

Tell me what you think of that!
