Finally a new story, I hope you guys enjoy it!

"I-I don't think I can do this," the indigo-haired girl looked pleadingly towards her roommates as she reluctantly packed the items she would need into her bag.

"We've talked about this Hinata," Sakura placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder and looked her full in the eyes with determination. "You can do this."

"Yeah, it's not like you've never seen a naked body before," Ino winked at her from across the room and Hinata hid her face with her hands as she felt heat rise to her cheeks.

"T-That's different!"

"Don't forget that this is worth 30% of your grade," Sakura closed Hinata's bag for her and held it out for the blushing girl to take. Hinata sighed in resignation, taking the strap and sliding it over her shoulder. She'd been dreading this day for the past 2 weeks, since her professor first announced to the class that they would begin the anatomy section of the course with a 2 hour long figure drawing session.

Complete with an actual nude model.

"Maybe I should change my major to Art; an anatomy study assignment just sounds like an excuse to stare at a hot model for an hour," Ino nudged her slightly with a sly look in her eyes and Sakura slapped at her arm playfully.

"Shut up pig, you couldn't draw something if your life depended on it," Sakura laughed and Ino waved a hand at her dismissively as they exited their dorm, having already decided on walking their distressed friend to class in case she tried bailing on her way to the classroom.

"Maybe it won't be so bad…" Hinata tried to reassure herself as she sauntered along the cement walkway leading towards the fine arts facility. "I-I mean, I've drawn lots of bodies before. So what's the difference?"

"Other than getting to stare at some guy's naked ass for an hour?" Ino placed a hand on her chin thoughtfully but smiled wickedly as Hinata tripped over her own feet and looked at her with wide, helpless eyes.

"Who said it's going to be a guy?" Sakura piped in, shooting Ino a dirty look from behind Hinata's back as the blonde giggled from Hinata's left."It could be a woman. That would probably be less stressful, right?"

"Professor Jiraiya didn't specify who it would be, t-though I suppose I would prefer a woman…" Hinata clutched the strap at her shoulder tightly, feeling her heart rate increase as they moved closer and closer to the building.

She prayed desperately that the model would be a woman, and knowing the nature of her Advanced Drawing Foundations professor she found the scenario reassuringly likely. Sighing deeply she closed her eyes in thought as they approached the building where she knew her doom surely awaited her. Ino was right – it wasn't as though Hinata had never seen a naked human body before, and as an art major she'd drawn countless images of the naked human form. An innate knowledge of anatomy was inherently necessary for many art forms, and if anything she was surprised that it had taken her until her last year of college to draw a nude model in one of her classes. And though she didn't protest the practice opportunity, she wondered if she had the nerve to actually experience drawing a naked person standing right in front of her.

"Excuse me!" She heard a voice call out from behind them, pulling her from the thoughts storming in her mind as her head turned back instinctively.

"N-Naruto!" Hinata squeaked in surprise, pink dusting her cheeks at the sight of the familiar boy as he caught up to them and came to a halt.

"Ah, Hinata!" The blonde grinned widely after casting aside his initial shock, the blue eyes that she loved almost sparkling as he looked down at her. "What are you doing here?"

"Hello to you too, Naruto," Sakura punched him in the arm roughly, but a knowing smile stretched across her face as she looked between the two of them, elbowing Ino in the side as the blonde failed miserably to suppress her laughter.

"Sorry Sakura, Ino," he rubbed the spot where she hit him with and looked at the two girls apologetically before turning back to Hinata. Hinata noticed Sakura's eye twitch as he promptly went back to ignoring her.

"Sakura and Ino were just walking me to class," Hinata said meekly, cautiously meeting his eyes with a small smile as she gripped the strap of her bag even tighter.

"Hinata was just telling us how nice it was of you to give her notes in class last week when she was sick," Ino said nonchalantly as she draped her arm around Hinata's shoulder leisurely.

"E-Eh?" Hinata sputtered in confusion as Ino exchanged glances with Sakura, both with a devious twinkle in their eyes.

"Ah, that was nothing!" Naruto waved a hand dismissively, scratching the back of his head in embarrassment as his cheeks flushed lightly. "Hinata has helped me study loads of times, so I owe her!"

"A-Ano, I'm the one who owed you, Naruto." Hinata interrupted in a desperate attempt to steer the attention away from herself, ignoring how her two friends wiggled their eyebrows at her. As much as Hinata knew they liked to tease her about her embarrassingly large crush on their mutual friend, she should have known they would kick it up a notch ever since 'that' night.

She hadn't meant to fall for the cute history major she'd shared a class with in her first year at KonohaU. History had always been her worst subject, having always excelled more in math and science courses, and she found herself struggling desperately to hold an acceptable grade in the class. She almost envied the way he always seemed to raise his hand every time Professor Hatake asked a question, giving flawless answers that left her scrambling to take notes in response. He always looked so excited to go into class and learn, taking notes swiftly and hanging on to every word that their professor said, leaving Hinata awestruck at how he so seamlessly grasped the information they learned in class each day. She'd grown to admire his work ethic and pure enthusiasm and spent weeks wanting to ask him to tutor her, but never building up the courage to actually speak to him. That is, until he found her one afternoon in the library close to pulling her hair out in frustration as she reviewed the fall of the Roman Empire. He approached her with a warm smile, greeted her as if they were already friends, and graciously offered to help her pass the class.

Week after week of working together had gradually built up a close friendship between the two and Hinata slowly began to fall for the blonde knucklehead, and with his help was able to pass the class with an A-. She felt a blush heat her cheeks as she remembered the way he pulled her into a hug after revealing her final grade to him, spinning her around happily and immediately inviting her out to celebrate the end of the semester with him and his friends. It was thanks to him that he even met Sakura and Ino, both of whom quickly became her best friends.

When she had felt the most alone and questioned whether she really belonged at their university, he had offered her not only his help, but had welcomed her into his tight knit group of friends with open arms. And though she feared they would gradually lose touch, they remained close friends – even sharing another class this semester. She owed him more than he could imagine, her feelings lurking on the back of her tongue every time she spoke to him. 'Lurking,' at least until what they came to call "that night" happened almost 3 weeks ago.

"You should tell him how you feel!" Sakura and Ino encouraged her for the thousandth time over the sounds of laughter and loud music pumping through the room around them, leaning on each other for support as drops spilled from the drinks in their hands.

"I – hic – I should tell him," Hinata responded assuredly, nodding to herself as she watched him laugh with Sasuke and Kiba on the other side of the room, staring at the way his eyes shined with happiness and perhaps just a bit too much alcohol. Swallowing another gulp of her own drink she felt the bitter liquid burn her throat as her heart beat rapidly in her chest, matching the fast rhythm of the music around her. And before she realized what she was doing she was thrusting her drink towards Ino, her feet leading her straight towards him as the two girls cheered loudly from behind her.

"Naruto," she said evenly as she approached him, he and the others all turning towards her with curious glances. Naruto's mouth stretched into a wide grin as he greeted her.

"Hinata! Are you – hic – having fun? I think I'm dr–," he began to speak until she gripped the collar of his shirt and pulled him towards her, bringing their lips together into a sudden kiss as the sounds of people drunkenly whooping filled the air around them. His body stiffened suddenly, standing motionless for a moment before relaxing beneath her grasp. She felt his arms around her suddenly, pulling her closer to his body as his fingers grazed the back of her skull and tangled in her hair. She felt the splash of liquor on her feet as his cup dropped to the ground, quickly forgotten.

"Yeeaahh, get it Hina– hic –ta!" Ino's drunken yell filled her ears as she pulled away slightly, opening her eyes as she released his collar from her grasp and took in the features of his face mere inches from her own.

"Hinata…" he stared back at her with wide eyes, his mouth hanging open slightly as though struggling to find the words to say. Pushing him away lightly she stumbled backwards, slowly processing what had happened. She blinked, feeling the heat from his body so close to hers, before her eyes widened suddenly and she stepped back instantly as the realization of what she had just done hit her like a brick wall.

"I-I..I'm sorry!" she sputtered, face burning red as she turned and ran out of the party, shameful tears pooling in her eyes as she ignored the sounds of people calling her name.

It had taken her a week to gather the nerve to talk to him, and another week for him to convince her that "You don't have to apologize so much, it's okay!" until here they stood, trying to pretend that everything was the same and nothing happened, when everything felt…different.

"Didn't you need something, Naruto?" Sakura asked expectantly, not failing to notice the way they both seemed to be lost in a million thoughts and Naruto blinked in confusion for a moment.

"Oh, yeah! I'm looking for the fine arts building!" He scratched his cheek in embarrassment at his absentmindedness and the three girls looked at each other in surprise.

"That's actually where Hinata has class, it's the building on the corner right there," Ino pointed him just further up the street where the large brick building loomed, reminding Hinata of what exactly she was doing outside in the first place as her heart dropped into her stomach.

"Thanks! I'm in a bit of a rush, so I better get going!" He began to walk past them before stopping and looking back Hinata indecisively. "Maybe I'll see you after your class, Hinata?" He asked hesitantly and she nodded shyly, waving as he yelled his goodbyes and resumed his jogging.

"Ugh, you two are perfect! Remind me why y'all aren't together already?" Ino groaned in exasperation as soon as Naruto was out of earshot and Hinata flushed brightly, waving her hands at Ino desperately to quiet her.

"I-Ino, you're too loud!" Hinata sputtered hastily as she turned back towards the direction Naruto had run towards. She watched him pull open the door and enter the fine arts building before sighing heavily.

"I-It's just not like that between us. We're…just friends, and I shouldn't have done what I did that night," Hinata avoided meeting their eyes as she slowly began walking once more.

"But–!"

"Before you start beating yourself up again, Hinata," Sakura interrupted Ino's protest by placing her hand on the blonde's shoulder. "You really should talk to him. You never really asked him how he felt about what happened. The whole thing just got swept under the rug and now you both are left dealing with these complicated emotions that you never got closure for, and the rest of us are left trying to convince you two that it's not like you suddenly can't be friends anymore!"

"Sakura is right for once!" Ino interjected, oblivious to the sharp look Sakura gave her. "Shit happens! You can't just let it interfere with your lives forever."

"I-I just don't know…" Hinata mumbled as she approached the buildings doors, stopping before reaching out for the handle and turning to them with a small smile. "I just have a lot to think about. Thank you for walking me, I'll start being braver so I'm not always relying on you both to guide me all the time."

"Don't think that we're through talking about this," Ino pointed a finger at Hinata, narrowing her eyes at the girl's not-so-subtle attempt to get rid of them. "Now you go in there, and you show them how to draw a naked ass!"

"I-Ino!" Hinata gasped, flushing once more and chuckling as the blonde turned away in a fit of laughter, Sakura following suit after a quick hug and wink of encouragement.

"Hm, I wonder why that idiot was looking for the fine arts building anyway…" Hinata heard Sakura ask to no one in particular as she pushed all thoughts from her mind and entered the building.

'Now isn't the time to be thinking about all of that. I have to focus on what I have to do right now,' Hinata thought to herself as she headed down the hall with sluggishly, dragging her feet as she approached her classroom and pulled open the door.

"Ah, Miss Hyuga! I was just talking about you with our lovely model here today," Jiraiya's voice boomed happily from across the large room and Hinata smiled sweetly to herself in response to her teacher's warm greeting as she pulled her bag over her head and looked towards him. Even if she was having a horrible day her rowdy professor always seemed to cheer her up, something she desperately needed right now to get her mind off of a certain blonde man.

"Jiraiya-sama, who are you talking abou– N-N-Naruto?!"

"H-Hinata?! What are you doing here?!" The Uzumaki pointed at her accusingly, eyes wide as if she was someone trespassing somewhere she wasn't supposed to be. Hinata looked back and forth between him and her professor (who seemed just a little too happy) in pure confusion.

"T-This is the class I was heading to. What are you doing here? Jiraiya-sama, where is the mod–," she froze as a sudden thought entered her mind and she turned suddenly to glance around the room, taking in the dozen or so familiar faces of her fellow classmates and looking around desperately for any face she didn't recognize.

"O-Oh no," she said quietly as the cogs slowly began turning in her head, watching as Jiraiya threw an arm around Naruto's shoulder with a boisterous laugh. "P-Please don't tell say that he's…"

"I didn't know you were friends with my godson, Hinata!" Jiraiya grinned brightly, turning his attention on the rest of the students in the wide room. "Class, allow me to introduce you to Naruto Uzumaki – our model for today's anatomy study!"

Eep! I really love this and I hope you guys do as well! I got the idea from a random prompt that I had seen and immediately knew I had to write a NaruHina college au based around it in which Hinata was an art student and walked into class to discover the cute history major Naruto Uzumaki was going to be the model for her anatomy study. I really liked the idea of Hinata being the one needing Naruto to tutor her so I had to throw that in there as well.

Part 2 will hopefully be out within the next couple of days, so be sure to watch out for it (fun times will be had) and leave a review telling me what you think of this one. ^_^

*Also, I recently made a Tumblr - so if any of you who follow me on here would like to follow me on there as well, my url is thesefourwords-blog . tumblr . com (without the spaces)

Hopefully I'll start posting stories more often, but as of now it's pretty much a bunch of anime trash on there. T-T But if you like Naruto/Attack on Titan/Tokyo Ghoul/Free!/Barakamon then feel free to follow me or shoot me a message saying you came from FF and I'll be super happy! :)
