*BASED OFF "I SEE THE LIGHT FROM" TANGLED. BEST TO LISTEN WHILE READING, BUT START THE MUSIC AFTER THE FIRST PARAGRAPH*

Several months after the return of Sherlock and a little over three years since The Fall, John and Sherlock are almost back to normal, except there have been a few changes within themselves, that the traumatic events made them realize. Now, they are resting on opposite ends of the couch at 221B Baker Street, at around midnight after the end of a stressful case involving wayward machinery and a double murder.

(Sherlock P.O.V.)

All those days watching from the windows as John left to go to the surgery in the mornings when there wasn't an urgent case. All those years outside looking in on the emotions of others, and all that time never even knowing just how blind I've been towards my own. Now I'm here blinking in the starlight. Now I'm here suddenly I see. Standing here next to my John is exactly where I was always meant to be. And at last I have seen the light and it's like the fog has been lifted from over my eyes. And at last I see the light, and it's like the sky is new. And it's warm and real and bright, this love I feel, and the world has somehow shifted. All at once everything is different, now that I have really seen John.

(John P.O.V.)

All those days chasing down a daydream with Sherlock, getting the rush of adrenaline. All those years living in a blur after The Fall. All that time never truly seeing things, the way they were, the clues Sherlock had left. Now he's here shining in the starlight, now he's here, and suddenly I know. If he's here its crystal clear I'm where I'm meant to go. And at last I have seen the light and it's like the fog has been lifted from over my eyes. And at last I see the light, and it's like the sky is new. And it's warm and real and bright, and I have never felt this love before and the world has somehow shifted. All at once everything is different, now that I have really seen my Sherlock.

(Third Person P.O.V.)

As if reading the others thoughts, John and Sherlock turn to face one another, realization and love shining brightly in their eyes. They gasp when they see the emotions the other one is broadcasting and slowly lean in until their lips meet to share their first, but certainly not last, kiss. No words need to be said, for they know exactly how the other feels. Throughout the next few weeks, their PDA grows and soon everyone is sure of the relationship rumors concerning the Consulting Detective and his Army Doctor. This unlikely pair, bound for each other from the first meeting, has finally seen the light.
