Remember/Our First Kiss
Like all good things it started on a late summer night. Cliché, isn't it? (I remember the day you taught me what that meant.) We were watching a cartoon like we always do when I can't sleep. (By the way, how did you always know when I was awake?) You made me warm milk, to help me sleep. It was sweet of you. But as usual it didn't work.
So we continue to watch Little Einstein's at 4 O'clock in the morning. You watch me as I grin at the screen, proud that I have the answers to all their questions. I turn to you, ready to ask a question, only to find our faces closer than I thought. Your cheeks are stained by a light crimson blush, but you don't move away. And I find myself hesitantly moving closer, gaze flickering from your lips to your mesmerizing brown eyes, down to your lips again. (You really teach me more than you think.)
Is it okay if I do this? I whisper, for I have to know. You respond in a mere nod. By the light of the television screen, our lips meet. You don't close your eyes until I put a hand behind your neck, pulling you closer. As your eyes flutter shut, so do mine. A heat rises up in my chest and I use every last breath of air in my lungs until I feel like they're about to burst. As we pull apart I see you smile your crooked smile. You whisper, this is going to change everything.
Baby, do you remember our first kiss?
Ah, I will get back to You Never Really Know for those of you who read that, but I just got back from spending time with the family and I wanted to do something simple and... Light. So this was the out come. I just love Cargan =3. By the way, Little Einstein's is actually on at around 6:00am. And I know this because I am an insomniac and there is nothing on to watch at that hour. And On Demand has shows I've already seen.
I do not own Little Einstein's. Or Big Time Rush.
