It was not unusual for Sirius to skip on days when he was bored.. But today it seemed, he had more important things to do. One of which, was talking to his brother. But Regulus would have none of it. Regulus was the model Black. He was sorted into the family house, he hated those filthy mudbloods, and he never rebelled. But Sirius on the other hand, was quite the opposite. He was sorted into Gryffindor , never used the word mudblood, and all he did was rebel against his parents' wishes. It was this that caused the rift between the two brothers. That is why Regulus wanted nothing to do with his brother. But Sirius pushed harder.
"Regulus, I need your help," Sirius finally shouted! He had enough of his younger brother's apathic replies. He was quite ready to give his git of a brother a bloody nose. Regulus sharply turned around, he too was tired of his brother, and although he didn't want to resort to violence, he just might. "What do you want Sirius?" he shouted back at his brother. Sirius quickly looked to down the hallway. Luckily, it was empty. "What do you do if you have been bitten by a werewolf?" he asked.
Regulus was not used to this side of his brother. His brother looked serious, maybe somewhat scared. "Are you serious? You turn into a bloody werewolf!" he shouted at his brother. Sirius decided to leave the joke behind and quickly shoved his brother into an empty classroom. "Stop shouting. I have a confession, you know Remus Lupin? He's one of the people I hang out with." Sirius started in an even more serious tone then before. Regulus quickly thought about the people his brother hung out with. There was that girl, Lily, or was it Lucy? He didn't know. Then there was that mouse-like one, what did they call him? Peter! That was it. There was that black-haired seeker, James was it? Lastly, there was the brown-haired one, Moony. "He's the one you call "Moony" right?" Regulus asked his brother.
It was unlike Sirius to betray ones secret, especially one that was his friend. But they needed help. "Well, he's a werewolf. But we just found out recently, and we don't know what to do." Sirius babbled out at once. He looked around again, just to make sure the classroom was empty.
Regulus's mouth made a 'o' shape. That was why his brother had been jittery the past few days. He had been harboring a secret that not many could deal with. Unknown to Sirius, his younger brother's respect for him grew quite a bit just then. "So, did this 'Moony', bite someone? Perhaps that Lily girl?" Regulas asked his brother. He could do without Lily in the school, she was smart, but she was a muggle-born. Sirius shook his head no. "We want to help Remus, but we don't know how. Don't talk bad about Lily either, she's the one who suggested we go to you. I don't know why, but James just about through a fit. He likes her, you know?" Sirius said. Regulus was already to the door by the time he finished. As he opened the door, he called over his shoulder to his brother. "Become unregistered animagus. That way you can stop him from infecting people." And with that note said, Regulus left the room and headed towards Potions.
A/N: This was written for the "word prompt challenge' by Rowlingsarmy on HPCF. I choose to do two prompts the first chapter. The prompts were 'secret' and 'confession'. Hope you enjoyed it.
