Author's Note: As I've said in my previous author's notes I will be doing quite a few one shots to the song title prompt forum that Angel N Darkness, LacytheDemonicDuck, and PrincessAletheia have set up because they have a lot of good song titles up.
Diclaimer: I do not own Criminal Minds of the song A Year Like This One.
Song Title Prompt: A Year like This One – Alanis Morissette
Aaron wanted a year like this one again. This past year he has found that love was indeed the most important thing in a person's life. He was now happily married again and not only did he have his son Jack but he had a daughter on the way. He looked over at his wife of six months and felt his heart swell while he took her in along with her big baby bump. Only two more months and their daughter would be here. He couldn't wait to meet her.
As he watched his wife he couldn't help but think how perfect his life was now compared to what it was eighteen months ago. Eighteen months ago he was blaming himself for everything that had went wrong. He only stopped when Emily had finally made him start living again. This past year was one of the best years of his life. He was a very lucky man indeed.
He chuckled when he saw Emily blush at something that Penelope had said. His wife looked lovely in her maternity top and pants and with that blush on her cheeks she looked even more lovelier. The smile grew on his face as he watch Jack run up to Emily and press a kiss to her stomach. His son was really ecstatic about becoming a big brother.
Dave who was standing next to Aaron smiled and said "What are you thinking about Aaron?"
Aaron looked at Dave and chuckled. "I'm thinking about what I wouldn't give to have another year like this one."
Dave laughed and nodded. "I know what you mean Aaron. This year has truly been blessed with love for all of us."
Aaron and Dave exchanged smiles and then walked towards their women. This past year was one of the best years any of the team members have had. Aaron knelt down in front of Emily and put a hand on either side of her growing baby bump before leaning in to press kisses all over her stomach. He laughed when his daughter started kicking him on the cheek. His daughter was going to be as much as a spitfire as her Mom was and he was going to enjoy and love every minute of it.
