Hello! EmeraldYoukai here, this is my first fanfiction EVER in the entire world O_O and it's not really a story but more of a drabble.(It's also a little bit like a eulogy) Hope you don't mind! Well it's just a little tribute I've written for Kagura, because although she was not one of my favourite characters i was actually really sad when she died :( So here it is! (It will probably suck - that's a fair warning! I also apologise if the writing looks funny because i wrote this on notepad then C&P it to word)

Disclaimer: I do not own 'Inuyasha' all rights belong to Rumiko Takahashi :)

She was an unusual woman, yet at the same time not unusual at all.

She was evil and yet also good.

She was a friend, and a foe.

She was beautiful, yet also hideous.

She was a woman whose life was made of contradictions, if you could in fact call it a 'life'.

She was a prisoner, whose only wish was to be free.

Free. Free to roam, free to talk, free to love.

All of those things that are taken for granted. Things so very simple, yet for her, so out of reach.

Chained by her creator, tortured, tormented, never to truly experience what her life could've been.

Never to actually...live.

The irony that she was born bonded with the wind, the wind that moved freely with no limitations, the wind that could not be suppressed.

That in itself, was a contradiction. Someone so oppressed and controlled, bonded with a force that was her complete opposite.

Her life was filled with pain and misery, both her own and that which she had caused for others.

Until, finally she was free.

In death, she became the very essence of freedom. She became the wind with which she was bonded.

She no longer had to suffer. She no longer felt pain or sorrow.

She IS the wind. She IS free. She still lives.

She is still with us.

She is ALIVE, in the wind, and in our memories.

Rest in peace, Kagura.

And there it is! It's a bit short but oh well! I wrote this because at first i didn't like Kagura when she was first introduced in the manga, but as the manga continued it started showing a whole new side to her, which i really liked. What my message in this tribute is, is: Don't hate Kagura, pity her. :( Although i have no right to tell you what to think about the characters thats just my opinion. Review if you want to flames, compliments and constructive criticism is all welcome. :)
