Pika, Pikachu? Ri Ri!
Ever wonder why Paul is such a grouch? Well, before Paul started his journey, he had a pokemon pal. A Pikachu nicknamed Zip Zam; it was just like any other Pikachu but had a brown thunderbolt on its back.
Paul and Zip Zam were the best of friends; they played together all the time and promised one-another that they would be partners when Paul's journey began. That as the plan but on day, the day before Paul's journey, Zip Zam disappeared. Even after countless hours of searching he was never found.
When Paul started his journey, he was miserable and was worst when he met Ash and his Pikachu. Now he was an empty shell; the only thing on the inside was a little boy, calling of his best friend.
"Zip Zam! Come home!"
We find Ash and his friends on the road again and onto Dawn's next contes.t, while on the road they met Paul and knowing Ash, he challenged him. They were fighting one on one, Paul's pokemon being Electabuzz and Ash's was Pikachu. They were about even in they damage they received and thrown.
"Pikachu use quick attack!" shouts Ash.
Pikachu took a few breaths before running at a break neck speed only to be grabbed along with Electabuzz. They were quickly caged in which they tried to escape.
"Electabuzz use thunder!" shouts Paul and the pokemon in turn tried but it was absorbed.
"Save that power for the factory!"
"Huh?" asked Paul and Ash a man in the team galactic uniform walked out with a remote.
"Give me back Pikachu!" shouts Ash.
"No," said the grunt. "We need their energy to power up our factory," he said and ran to a landing helicopter.
"Come back!" shouts Paul. 'I won't lose another partner,' he thought.
"Oh be quiet," said the grunt and he punched a button from the remote.
The pokemon screamed in pain as their energy was drained and was shot at Paul. Paul yelled in shock and fell on his butt. He held his arms over his face for the blow but it never came. He looked in front of his person and gasped. There was a Richu absorbing the shock but what was more shocking was the thunderbolt on its back.
"Zip Zam?" asked Paul in a shocked voice.
The grunt stopped the attack and growled in frustration. The Richu turned and nodded with a smirk. Pal felt tears but quickly wiped them and stood.
"Use brick break Zip Zam!" shouts Paul.
"Ri Ri!" said Zip Zam before running quickly to the cage. Its paw glowed and became rock hard, easily breaking the cage open.
The grunt growled and quickly boarded the helicopter; it flew away and the pokemon ran to their trainers. They froze when they heard a sob and saw Paul hugging the Richu.
Paul pulled away from the hug and placed his forehead on Zip Zam's. "I missed you," he whispered before hugging him again in which Zip Zam cooed happily.
