Dramatis Personae:

Anna Parker/The Spider: Composite of Princess Anna, Peter Parker/Spider-Man, and elements of Gwen Stacy. Though she's had her shy moments, hapless, bubbly extrovert Anna Parker is hardly what one would call a "mild-mannered" alter ego. Anna is a high-school senior from the middle-class Parker family, whose life dramatically changed visiting her sister at Wescorp six months ago. Interested in biology and small creatures, Anna wandered into the spider-room in the biology labs, not realizing until it was too late that they were not contained. Soon she found herself with the amazing spider-powers we all know and love, and, upon witnessing the death of her father in a shooting incident, eventually resolved to stand up to the crime and violence of New York, donning the identity of "The Spider". She keeps her superhero identity a secret, even from her sister and mother, though she had accidentally exposed herself to her boyfriend Chris shortly following the discovery of her powers. Both as herself and as the Spider, Anna is a quick-witted, excitable and ideological character, though she longs to reconnect with her emotionally distant sister.

Elsa Parker: Composite of Queen Elsa and Max Dillon/Electro. A newly minted electrical engineer at Wescorp, Elsa knows her way around the laboratory but often finds herself a mess in front of other people. As a youth, Elsa's anxiety, fed unwittingly by her father's pressure and overprotectiveness of both children, had led to her consistent fear that she would hurt Anna in some way or another, and to this day maintains limited contact with her sister, despite Anna's frequent visits to Wescorp. The death of her father was the catalyst for a split with her family, whom she only visits once a month. In recent months, she's developed an unhealthy obsession with the Spider, after encountering the masked figure on the streets, and her recent breakup with her ex, Jane, has only exacerbated matters. She has friendly relationships with her assistants, Marcy and Olaf, but they have noticed something off about her in the past few weeks as they help her design Wescorp's new power plant.

Christopher "Chris" Stacy: Composite of Kristoff and Gwen Stacy. Anna's boyfriend and the son of New York's (still-alive-in-this-story) police chief, he and Anna plan to attend NYU together in the fall. He witnessed Anna accidentally lose control of her web-spraying ability shortly after the accident at Wescorp, and thus acts as Anna's secret-keeper and confident. Despite taking Gwen Stacy's place, his role in the story will be limited compared to Gwen in ASM2, and some of Gwen's traits and role were shifted to Anna's character. Since the main focus of the story is Anna's own family, much of the Stacy family's drama has been streamlined or removed.

Harry Weselton: Primarily just Harry Osborn, with the Weselton name inherited. Heir to the Weselton fortune and his father's company, Wescorp, Harry has returned to New York in anticipation of his father's impending death due to a degenerative disease. Anna's childhood friend, though in the years past he's almost forgotten about her. He is baffled by the city's celebration of the vigilante "The Spider".

Gerda Parker: Composite of Kai & Gerda (the Frozen characters, not the Snow Queen characters) and Aunt May. Anna and Elsa's grandomther, who was beloved by both as children and, having retired two years prior, agreed to take care of Anna after Mr. Parker's death (Anna and Elsa's mother had died years earlier in a shipwreck).

Norman Weselton: Composite of Norman Osborn and the Duke of Weselton. The founder of Wescorp, he has made his son the sole heir of his fortune, but has yet to reveal the hereditary nature of his disease to him.

Marcy & Olaf: Named for Marshmallow and Olaf, do not correspond to any ASM characters and do not strongly resemble their Frozen counterparts. Elsa's Wescorp colleagues, who are acting as her assistants on the power plant project. They are her closest companions, but Elsa still doesn't share everything with them, and lately they've been noticing strange, obsessive behavior from her ever since the breakup with Jane. The duo was previously working on a scrapped project trying to engineer a more powerfully electric eel, and their work has not yet been disposed of.
