Hanyou and a Girl
Disclaimer- I do not own Inuyasha. I can never hope to. I'm a beginning writer for Inuyasha fanfics, and this is my first one. I'm open to productive criticism, nothing more. Please review this and tell me what you think! Include pointers and ideas to make my next chapter more interesting! Oh, and a suggestion for a new title for my stories would be
most appreciated.
*~*~*~*~Chapter One*~*~*~*~
"I'll only be gone for two weeks Inuyasha, come on!"
"Two weeks?! That's way too long!"
"No it isn't! I need to study and catch up!"
"I don't care, your not leaving!"
"That's what you think!"
"What?"
"Sit!!!", screamed Kagome, annoyed and frustrated at Inuyasha once again because, once again he was giving her a hard time about returning to her own time.
As much as she cared for him, sometimes he was just a nuisance. Like now.
Inuyasha felt his body go slack, and for a few minutes, he couldn't move. Kagome, seeing this, took her chance and jumped through the well. "Kaaa goo meee!" he yelled.
Why couldn't she just stay as she was supposed to and help him hunt down the shards? When he felt the feeling return to his legs, he jumped up and pounced through the well.
As he raced out of the shrine and into her house, he found her down stairs in her kitchen with her mother eating breakfast.
"You left me for this?" he asked indignantly.
"Inuyasha, I told you, I have to go to school this week! I've missed enough as it is, and Grandpa is running out of excuses".
"Keh", he snorted, "If you would just stay in my time then you wouldn't have to worry about this sckooool thing you always have to go to".
"I could never do that!" hissed Kagome, more irritated.
She gasped and said in a slur of words once she glanced at the clock, "OhcrapI'mgoingtobelateforschoolbyeMama!"
"I'll take you if you want me to", offered Inuyasha, with a sudden change of attitude when he sensed her panic.
She eyed him quizzically before nodding 'yes' and picked up her school bag. He then bent over and motioned her to get on. Once comfortably seated, she waved goodbye to her mother and Inuyasha took off. His red haori and white hair mixed like strawberries and whipped cream as his feet took huge leaps and never seemed to touch the ground.
Mrs. Higurashi sighed, picked up the dirty dishes, and began resuming her morning 'chores'.
Once Inuyasha saw Kagome's high school come into view, he slowed down to a trot/walk as advised by Kagome, and attempted to apologize for earlier.
"Sssorry for, uh, giving you an, um, hard time", he finally managed, looking extremely embarrassed.
"It's okay, I guess I could have been more reasonable about it", Kagome answered, smiling inwardly that Inuyasha found apologizing to her hard. Most of the time he didn't even apologize at all!
"Erm, so are we okay now?" he asked nervously, afraid of her answer.
"Of course!" she said cheerfully, "I could never stay mad at you."
She snuggled her head into his soft hair and breathed deeply, but then looked longingly up at his hat-covered ears, wishing she could pet one.
His heart fluttered happily in his chest.
