Kit woke up to his mother's tiny bird Pokemon on top of him. He heard his mother call for him, so he quickly got dressed in a blue jacket and red cap, hurrying downstairs. He followed the smell of pancakes to the kitchen. His mother gave him a stack, rolling her eyes over how he would devour it like he always did.
After breakfast, Kit went outside, just to see a girl with golden blonde hair, staring at his house. Her eyes glowed blue. Her top was black with a red skirt. At first, the two just stared at each other, as if a legendary Pokemon had just flown overhead. Finally, Kit spoke.
"Are you Kit Sune?"
"Yes," said Kit, nodding his head.
"I just have one question, how do you feel about Pokemon?"
Kit didn't know how to answer. His parents were divorced. He remembered the day his father left. It was because his father gambled in Pokemon battles. However, his father did visit from time to time, giving him gifts and letting him pet cute Pokemon. While he didn't find much in his father, he found great innocence in Pokemon.
"I don't really know to be honest."
"Well," said the blonde, "if you want to work with Pokemon, meet me in Aquacorde Town."
Kit went back inside, quite confused as to what exactly had just happened. He told his mother.
"Oh! I forgot to tell you! Professor Sycamore is a famous Pokemon Professor. Right now, he needs disciples to help him with his research, and he's chosen you and some of our neighbors. He wants you all to meet up in Aquacorde."
"Wait," thought Kit in disbelief, "He wants me?"
Kit was surprised at how quick his mother was to let him walk out the door with not much but a map and her phone number. He only had 700$. He did in even see his mother break a sweat or tear.
"Bye...I guess?"
Kit was still unsure if he wanted to do this. He would probably give in to peer pressure, though. This made him think about how he was going to meet new people, and Pokemon as well. It was a short route to Aquacorde.
