Disclaimer: I own nothing. You can't prove I own it. So please don't sue! Hang on, I do own something actually. Sam is mine so please don't take him without asking.
A/N: This is a sequel to Hero, which has Tommy's point of view to the infamous letter. I would have left it as it was but my Kat muse started telling me that Kim should have a chance to explain herself. So here it is!
Enjoy the fic!
His anguish pours down the phone towards me. I can imagine his face. He won't cry, at least not in front of the others, but inside his heart will be breaking. All I want to do is heal the wound that letter will cause.
I look to the ground, my hair shielding my face from the world. The coach shouts at me, telling me to continue my piece. All I can hear is a broken radio running through my head, two words in an eternal loop of sound.
"I'm sorry…I'm sorry…sorry…"
Sam comes over to me, sliding his hand into mine. His hazel eyes are boring into my soul, so much like those other eyes. For a brief moment I'm transported into another time, another world where it was just Tommy and me, the two rangers left of the old team. None of the cosmic creeps could break us apart. Not Rita, Zedd or master Vile.
I pull my hand away and run, not caring where I'm going. I find my way to the beach, the jet-black waves seem to taunt me and tears well up at the memories. After the sun truly sets I look up at the stars. Two birds fly overhead. I think for a moment before I realise what they are.
A white Falcon and a pale pink Crane are flying over the ocean, their voices twining around each other.
Someday Tommy, I'll find you again and make everything right. I'll tell you how much I still love you.
But until then, I'll let you fly.
A/N: Please tell me what you think. And a big thank you to all the reviewers who have written stuff about my fics! You guys are the best! Till the next time I write then,
TTL
