The whine of an engine broke through the rock style Christmas music that was blaring through the radio. Baubles hung from the banisters, tinsel all over. The singular tree sparkled with life, personalized ornaments decorating almost every branch. The whole Bunker glowed. Flynn poked their head out of the TARDIS, carefully taking one step out on the floor. The Doctor knocked them over.
"MERRY CHRISTMAS!" He yelled. Sherlock, John, and Mary Watson looked up from the table. Mary Watson mouthed hello. "Where are the Winnie's and company?"
"We're calling them right now." John said, then put the phone to his ear. "No reply."
"Well, they have to come back eventually." The Doctor said. "They have to meet- oh! Everyone, this is Flynn, my new companion. Flynn is trying to find their way back to Minnesota."
"Follow the Mississippi." Sherlock muttered.
"So, Flynn decided to come to our annual Christmas party."
"Hello Flynn." John said, holding out his hand. Flynn shook it nervously.
"Hi." They blushed, their cheeks getting more tan than they already were. They had short, black hair, and serene brown eyes, wearing a giant knitted blue sweater.
"You'll love to meet Cas." John said. "You remind me of him."
"That's what I said." The Doctor said absentmindedly, checking his scanner. "I wanted to know if Castiel was coming this year. I haven't seen him in forever."
"You saw him last year."
"Yes, then immediately after that he-"
"Shush!" Sherlock hissed.
"He what?" Everyone else asked at the same time.
"Sorry- that's Castiel's own personal business." The Doctor said. "The Winchesters don't want secrets like that getting out, if possible. Castiel has had a rough year and from what I can tell, he's just recovering from an extreme depression."
"Oh." John sighed. "I had no idea that anything had happened. It's just been the usual for Sherlock and I. London has had the lowest crime rate in years."
"The only thing that's happened for me is that I met Flynn." The Doctor said.
"Well, the Winchesters do get a lot more action than the rest of us." Mary Watson said.
It was silent.
"Seriously, where are they?" The Doctor asked. Everyone stood in silence, the music playing off key in the background. So much for a Christmas party.
