It was about 2am when Sasuke's ANBU team finally reached the gates of Konoha. It had been a 10 day mission, which was long for a squad of such skill. They had been on foot for 2 days and needless to say, were more than ready to be back.
As they drug their feet into the village Sasuke couldn't help but overhear a couple of his squad members talking behind him.

"Home...at last."

"It'll be nice to finally get home to my wife."

"I'll second that, you guys are great but it'll be nice to wake up to someone a little prettier in the morning."

"That's insulting, I think I'm pretty good looking if you ask me."

"He's right, nothing compared to coming home to your lady."

The men laughed and joked around behind Sasuke about their withdrawals from home before finally speaking up to ask him,

"Oi, got a particular someone you're getting home to?"

"Hn…." Sasuke just scoffed quietly, he was too exhausted to exchange any kind of answer, especially when he didn't exactly have one. Though he could think wishfully.

"Oh, come on...surely you do." another guy added in.

Sasuke just rolled his eyes.

The squad split up going their separate ways to their homes. The Uchiha walked, slowly but surely, down the dark streets of the village to his apartment. Every inch of his body was stiff, and his eyelids were getting more and more heavy with each step. His bed was the only thing on his mind after every taxing ANBU mission. He longed for a goods night rest, alone or not.

Finally, he reached his long awaited front door. Sasuke entered his home, absolutely beat. His mask plopped carelessly on the ground. Half awake he walked to his room and began shedding his ANBU gear.
The sound of someone's slow, relaxed breathing made him more aware. He glanced over to his bed to see easily through the darkness, locks of pink hair fanned out across his dark sheets. Sakura.

The sight made Sasuke relax and let out a sigh of relief. He had been too tired to realize his front door wasn't even locked when he came inside.
Sakura was curled up in his bed, hugging his pillow and sleeping soundly. He smirked. Leave it to Sakura to find out exactly when he would be returning. Quietly, he pulled back the covers and removed the pillow from her grasp. Her brows furrowed in her sleep and her hands reached out for the pillow, but instead felt him. A calm expression washed over her face.
He pulled her close to him, careful not to wake her. This was much better than coming and taking up the whole bed for himself, whether he would admit it or not.
Sasuke let his entire body relax as he shut his eyes, exhaustion finally taking over.

So, maybe he did have someone to get home to these days, and he supposed he could get used to it.
