Summary: In which Naruto reads a little bit further in the forbidden scroll, and sees something he can learn that's even cooler than the Kage Buunshin.
When he stole the scroll, all Naruto had been thinking about doing was learning something, anything, to show Iruka that would impress him enough to convince him to let Naruto pass. He settled down in the clearing and unrolled the scroll, sighing as he realized that the vast majority of techniques were either too complicated or needed more than one person to complete.
Getting to the end of the scroll he grinned as he saw one which was not only a type of buunshin he could use to pass, but which looked really cool. He put his hands together in a bastardized version of the ram seal, gathered chakra, and yelled, "Jigen Buunshin!"
He felt a pull in his stomach, a stronger pull than he had ever felt molding chakra, accompanied by a twisting pain, and let loose a scream. His chakra gathered around him, swirling around him like a tornado of sorts, becoming visible and nearly tangible. Finally the pull stopped, and with a 'poof' of clouds clone after clone filled the clearing. Naruto fell to one knee and looked up to inspect his work, letting out a curse as the clouds dissipated.
He saw a good nine clones filling the clearing, but he must have messed something up somewhere in this jutsu. Because even though nine clones did fill the forest, most of them looked nothing like him.
