Leah Clearwater had been through it all.

Heartbreak, from the man she loved and the cousin that was like her sister.

Loss, from the death of her father- and it was her fault too.

Teasing and complete hell, from the mocking words of her pack-mates.

She was angry; but more than anything, she was sad.

Sad beyond belief.

That's what tipped the scales. Convinced her. That's what found her in the situation, where she was standing. Standing on the edge of the highest cliff on La push, light breeze flowing through her hair and against her bare legs.

She couldn't wait too long- the guys would soon be there for cliff diving. She sighed, taking a step closer to the cliff edge.

It was no use, cutting the veins, swallowing one too many pills. It wouldn't so anything, she was a wolf, she would only heal.

She closed her eyes, listening to the gentle sound of the waves against the rocks. The ghost of a smile flitted over her face, before her eyes opened again. She peered over the ledge at the deep blue expanse spreading out across the horizon.

She took a deep breath and took another step foward, till her bare toes were hanging over the edge.

From her pocket, she took out four things. First, a letter from Emily, telling her how her and Sam were dating, and that she was sorry. Second, a bracelet, that her father had made for her when she was a lot younger. It was beautiful, made from thin leather strips woven together and a small bronze wolf pendant in the middle. Third, a thin silver necklace. It was from Sam, when they were dating. The pendant was a small heart, that opened to reveal a picture of her and Sam. And last, a small scribbled note, reading a simple I'm sorry.

She dropped the letter into the sea. She clasped the necklace round her neck, the bracelet around her wrist and laid the note just behind where she was standing.

This is the end.

A single tear slipped down her face, and then the followed the letter, plunging over the edge and into the unforgiving waves where many a soul was lost.

She heard the roar of laughter behind her as she crashed through the vast tides. She turned upwards to see Seth and a few of the other pack members not far away from the edge, cheering and laughing at her skilled jump from the cliff.

She locked her muscles together, straining not to kick to the surface and ignoring the stinging of her eyes as she continued to stare at the others as she slowly faded into the sea.

She watched as Seth's face slowly fell as he reached down to pick the note up, and he realised she wasn't kicking back up. He took a step closer to the edge, shouting at the rest of the pack, but it was too late. She was too far down.

Stars danced in her vision, and blackness began to close in. She released the last bit of breath in her lungs...

And she was gone.
