I just got bored and wanted to write. Here is a kind of sequel to last year's Valentines fic I wrote, 'Love N'. To be honest, it's kinda trashy. Sorry that it's a bit choppy.
"Jaz, seriously. If you didn't realize, today is Valentine's Day, and also mine and Nick's anniversary. I'd much rather be spending the day with my fiancé than driving round New York in a suit with my sister. Why you had to come here for Valentine's anyway is a mystery to me." Jeff complained. He was sat in the passenger seat of his car, blindfolded.
"I know you want to be spending the day with Nick, but this is really important." Jazmine replied, not taking her eyes off the road. "And touch that blindfold and I'll tie your hands together."
Jeff withdrew his hand and sighed. "You know this could be a lot easier if you just told me where we are going."
"Not a chance."
Jeff fell into a stony silence, trying to remember the turns and distances they had driven to figure out where they were and where they were heading.
After over an hour in the car, Jazmine stopped the car, and got out. Someone opened Jeff's door and helped him out of the car, and led him away. He was aware of the changes in surface as he walked, and found himself being led down what seemed to be a long hallway, and stopping at the end. He felt a pair of hands reach to remove his blindfold, and saw Nick stood beside him. At an altar.
Oh, crap.
"I can't believe you've done this." He whispered to Nick.
He was about to get married.
The official stepped up, and started the ceremony.
"Welcome, and please stand. We are gathered here today..."
"You may kiss."
Nick and Jeff stepped together and kissed softly, before making their way down the aisle.
"I really can't believe you did this."
"I didn't do it alone. Your whole family was in on it."
"I love you."
"I know."
Jeff smiled as they got outside, ready to do pictures.
"Jeff, I'm sorry we didn't tell you but Nick wanted this to be a surprise." Jazmine said at the small wedding reception that had been organized.
"I know, and thank you. I think this could be the best day of my life." Jeff replied, looking around at the small gathering of family and friends. Jeff's parents, siblings and grandparents were there, as were Nick's parents and grandparents, and a small group of friends they had made in New York. There had been a buffet, and a cake courtesy of Nick's Nan.
"Come on, honey. It's time to cut the cake." Nick came and took Jeff's hand.
"Let's go home, husband." Nick smiled as they got into the car.
"What? No surprise honeymoon after all this?" Jeff asked cheekily.
"Only if you're paying." Nick replied.
They drove in silence for a while, before Nick broke the silence again. "Now we're married, what's next? Adopting some kids?"
"Maybe. But let us finish college first." Jeff replied. "And I still can't believe you did this."
"Do you regret it?"
"Hell no." Jeff smiled. "I just wish you had've included one of your poems."
