Delphine surprises Cosima occasionally. Never would Cosima have expected the tall woman to push her to the ground in the forceful way that she does, climbing on top of her. Cosima tries to sit up but Delphine won't let her, strong hands hold her shoulders down and hips give a powerful shove against hers. Cosima gasps, head pushing back, spine arching, and a hand lands over her mouth. She's has never seen Delphine take forceful control before, but damn she thinks, it's hot.
Delphine's hips roll into hers without thought, her face twisting slightly and biting her lip if she gives a particularly hard thrust. Cosima licks the woman's palm, she's gotten the hint to be quiet about their activities but she wants that hand to be put to better uses. Her own hands however claw at Delphine's shirt, she wants skin, and apparently so does Delphine since she removes her hand and pulls at Cosima's collar. Lips meet but it's more of a fight than love. A fight of their emotions.
It is love but at the same time it isn't. It's raw animal urges in response to recent events, almost dying is being combated with the most alive thing they can think of to do. There have been a lot of pent up emotions and now it's a fight to let them out. Both parties equally as emotional, equally as angry, equally as loving, fighting to release the pressure in their systems, using each other as tools and weapons. It's a war of love. A paradox in its self.
They're not sure if it's anger or fear or relief that drives their heated session on their lab floor but there's a sense of urgency. Clothes are not removed, simply moved aside if absolutely necessary. It surprises Cosima, again, when Delphine leaves her throbbing lip, pulls her shirt aside and bites her between her collar bone and breast. It's not like Delphine at all. Delphine is soft curves and gentle touches. This is… aggressive. And it surprises her that she likes it.
She wouldn't want it as a permanent state of being on Delphine, but this sudden display of possessive aggression is oddly welcomed in light of recent events. Cosima takes it as Delphine choosing to fight for her even if it means fighting her. And she suddenly realises how true the statement is. She's surprised by the lack of pain when Delphine's teeth bear down on her skin, probably because she's so distracted by the movement of the woman's hips and what they're doing to her.
Delphine knows what the woman under her needs, she shows what they both need. She pulls the button on Cosima's pants free and wedges her hand inside, her flingers slipping through slippery wetness and sliding home. It's truer than any words either of them could say. Cosima moans, pulling Delphine by her open shirt down to her and sucking on the woman's lip, "God" she breathes when she can, although it's closer to panting really. It's hard and fast, just like how they fell.
Because fall is what they do. First they fell into mystery and intrigue, then they fell into each other's lives and quickly into bed. Their descent into the others hearts however was entirely unintentional and Cosima debates if it's a help or a hinder sometimes. Then they fell into a war with DYAD and had to combat death. They fell into a shite storm that none of them could ever have predicted and in spite of it all, they fight it by a fall over a figurative cliff made of hormones and climax on their labs floor.
Perhaps their love is the only thing that is stopping them from also falling into insanity or perhaps it's the simplicity of the release of hormones or the pleasure of having someone to lean on, whatever the reason, she's surprised by how grateful she is to have the woman.
Occasionally Delphine surprises Cosima, and today is one of those days.
