He was lonely. Just like he's always been.
For once he wished someone, anyone, would show him some compassion, but he knew it was just a pipe dream. From the day he was born there had been a gaping wound in his heart aching to be filled, unlike the other orphans, who he found were usually adopted within a year, he had no such luck. Once the pain got so bad he broke down crying, when his friend of three years-one Sakura Haruno-was suddenly adopted.
"Please"
"Somebody help me"
There was no response. All he saw was darkness. His words echoing throughout the room as the pain in his chest took hold until it became all he could think about.
That unbearable pain.
He wished he could end it, but he had no idea only thing that stayed with him, all his life was darkness.
"Darkness" he said letting the word roll of his tongue, he smiled.
"I guess i wasn't alone after-all"
He was scared.
Its an understandable reaction ,his entire family was murdered, by his older brother no less
'maybe it was a bad dream' he thought, his body filled with anxiety.
Itachi wouldn't really kill the whole clan, would he?
She was miserable.
From the day she had been adopted her foster parents treated her like an 18th century slave.
All the jobs they didn't want but needed to be done were her "chores"
Basically she was a house maid.
Her only solace was in the fact that they decided to enrol her in to the academy so she can get "hard to reach places"
She hopes they mean the cookie jar on the counter.
Iruka impatiently tapped his foot as he watched his new class file in.
Three names stood out on the list of those who where late:
Naurto Uzumaki
Sasuke Uchiha
Haruno Sakura
Its not a surprise that the first two were late, Sasuke Uchiha's Family had just been murdered and the demo...brat had gone missing and hopefully dead to the world, but Sakura ,an eager civilian ready to learn, he would expect to be on time.
He would have to make an example of her.
Thirty minutes into his patten pending introduction, Naruto walked in.
The blonde haired boy walked straight past the teacher refusing to acknowledge his existence, just like everyone had done to him.
"Uzumaki-san why are so late?" If Iruka was honest with him self he didnt really care.
Piercing blue eyes met his, before resuming their original path to his seat, ironically in the only dark part of the classroom, unperturbed by the response, or lack of, carried on with his lesson
Sakura was next.
Everything about her was a mess.
Her hair was scruffy, there was fold mark on her clothes and her sandals were on the wrong foot.
She looked like she had lived on the street all her life. The shocked expression on Naruto's face went unnoticed by everyone else for that matter.
Iruka, no mater how cruel, didn't have it in his heart to call her out. No matter how late she was.
It was thirty before lunch that Sasuke waltzed in with, aloofness only a Uchiha could hope to replicate, and sat down with his fingers interlaced underneath his chin. In fact the the only sign of emotion came when he narrowed his eyes at the looks of pity he was getting from his teacher.
And for the first time in a while people acknowledged the existence of Team 7, The Real Team 7
