Chapter One
Percy's POV
Percy woke that morning with a jolt, he wake and imediately reached out from his pen and clicked it. Suddenly, it grew to a full length sword no matter how many times Percy did that he never really got used to it. He looked round his room, armed, searching every nook and cranny of the room. His eyes fell upon a figure in the corner of cabin 3. A man with a trident stood in the corner. He was wearing a pair of heavily pocketed shorts and a Hawaiian shirt. And on his face he wore a bright smile that was echoed in his sea green eyes.
"Hello Peruses" he smiled brightly.
Percy knew exactly who this man in his room, his father yet he couldn't quite believe it . The God of the Sea was standing in his room and looking at him like he was the most important person in the world.
"Hello Father..." Percy said slightly dazed.
"Good Morning, I was wondering if you would like to take a walk on the beach with me. I need to talk to you about something... important" Poseidon said slowly.
Together they walked aimlessly towards the shoreline. There Percy could look out onto the sea, which was one of his favourite things to do, apart from spending time with his girlfriend Annabeth and his best friend Grover. As they neared the beach Percy couldn't help thinking that he was about to be told some bad news. The sea came into view and he had to stop himself from running towards the sea and going for a swim. He usually did this early in the morning before the other campers got up to start their day.
Once Father and Son reached the beach, they both started towards the water and sat close enough that the spray from the waves washed over their feet. After a couple of minutes of sitting and looking out onto the sun rise. Poseidon sighed signalling that he wanted to talk to Percy and get this over with.
Chapter Two
Poseidon POV:
A sense of dread filled me as I sat with Percy on the beach. Again I ran through the prophecy that she had told me all those years ago when Percy was just a baby...
"Perseus is destined to fight Kronos and to be the most powerful demigod to walk the Gaia's Earth in these modern times and it be will be for many a year. But as you know Poseidon, power comes at a cost. For being the most powerful he will be targeted by only the toughest monsters and meanest witches, the list goes on as long as the ancient world has existed. When Percy comes of age he will defeat Kronos himself but when the Titan Lord is killed his Titan's will do his bidding. They will seek Perseus and fight him to the death, there is no scenario where he comes out alive... But he must fight them he cannot run from his fate. It is your choice you could end his life now he would never live to see the day or he could stay alive and die at the hands of the Titans. What will you do? Kill your Son or see him killed...?"
I looked over at my Son. He was brave and caring boy who had defended Olympus in its hour of need and served his Father and other Olympians so willing, well apart from Ares... How had I condemned my Son to this horrible fate, why didn't I just killed the boy as a baby? Suddenly I was filled with false angry because I couldn't I admitted to myself. I sighed and thought it now, it's better to give the boy some warning I thought...
