Shinigami's song
This song my lord
Tells not of hoard
Not of braves or cowardice,
But rather of
The queen of elves.
So now I'll tell you how it is.
The patron saint
Of all that's taint
Of liars, killers, madmen,
She laughs out loud
To please the crowd
And holds council at beheadings.
Her people pray
For the day
When she brings them victory
Their sacrifice
Of gold suffice
And ensure a wondrous war story
Her doubters find
Death not kind
As it flies on swift and able wings.
The liars instead
Do rest their heads
On the temple with those golden things.
And so the queen
As all have seen
Takes up her place amongst the kings
And it is said
That one pure bred
Shall tell the story when she sings
I've sung my song
I can't stay long
Lest I anger that foul and wondrous being.
It is my fate
To honour the great
Who takes up her place with her king.
This story is a bit confusing, and everyone I've asked has come up with a different interpretation, so I'll tell you what's really behind it.
As most of you know, the great shinigami (god of death) is Duo Maxwell. I have had an infatuation with Duo since the moment I laid eye's on him, and have been to countless Duo sites and clubs.
I also consider myself the angel of death and the queen of duo's heart * deathglares anyone who sys different *. So I decided to write a song about the empress of the elves (me) who also happens to be the wife of the god of death (great pair right?). so in actual fact, I wrote a song about myself. Or rather, myself as duo's wife. * Looks puzzled and rolls her eyes* it's complicated, but it makes sense *mutters under her breath ''at least in my head it does'' *.
Ok, back to the song.
The first verse is just about how the song isn't about brave heroes or treasures. It's supposed to be slightly dark, but it doesn't come across like that at all.
The second verse is saying that the elven empress is actually the saint of all that's unholy (not quite a saint then) and of all the evil people in the world. Yes, I am evil. No, I don't plan to change. The 2nd verse also says how I like to kill people (beheadings are fun!).
The 3rd verse tells of how people leave gifts to make sure that I am on their side during battle. As elven empress I choose the slain. Like the valkyries.
4rth verse is about how I kill people who doubt my wondrous-ness (I am always threatening to kill yall at ff.net who don't believe I'm married to duo * deathglares everyone *) and protect the ones I love most. As an accomplished pathological liar, I like people who can pull off a good porkie. (Porkie pie, lie)
the 5th verse tells yall that I take my place as my duo's queen, and how I chose poetry (I refer to poetry as the most pure bred person on this world) to tell of my betrothal to shinigami.
The 6th verse is just there to round of and say once again that I am wonderful. It also has a warning about my temper (I can fly into the most awful rage)
Shini's angel lover.
