A/N: A big thanks to emergencyfan for finding the transcript for me.

I pressed the button and heard the door whoosh open as I rubbed the bridge of my nose. Another productive session with Kate. I looked up and froze. Shit. Teyla was standing in front of me, mimicking the expression I must have had one my own face. It was like staring into a mirror. A very disturbing mirror. Okay, bad example.

"Teyla!"

"Doctor McKay?" she asked in a surprised tone.

Shit. I was caught. "I was just um…" Think McKay! "We're seeing each other."

It was plausible. I have a thing for blondes, everyone knows it, though I have to point out that Sam has a special place in my heart. As far as blondes go, Kate was one of the most attractive I have ever seen. And coupled with those green eyes…I don't know how anyone could resist. I know I'm not the only one that thought of her at night when—

The only reason I haven't said anything to her is because she's a shrink. I've dated shrinks before—they all seem interested in getting inside your head and if I'm going to let a woman do that, it's not going to be on a date. Don't get me wrong; when you have two hundred people in another galaxy, you need a shrink. I especially needed to talk to her occasionally because, let's face it, I may be a genius, but I'm not a miracle worker and the members of the expedition expect me to be a miracle worker. I know the Ancients' technology inside and out, but they can't expect me to be everywhere at once. As I said, I'm no miracle worker.

I played it discreet, though, seeing Kate at odd hours and never at the same time. Yes, I needed to talk to her occasionally, but I'm not crazy and I didn't want anyone to think that. A genius can't leave any room for people to doubt him, you know. Especially a genius of my status.

Teyla peered around me and I knew without even turning around that Kate was making final notes on our session. She didn't look like someone that just finished a tryst, she didn't even look like a disinterested lover. She just looked…professional. Teyla turned back to me with a quizzical expression on her face. She obviously didn't believe me.

"You and Doctor Heightmeyer?" Definitely didn't believe me.

I shot a quick glance over my shoulder. She was still finishing her notes. "Well, you know how much I love women with great…um…minds." I dropped my voice again. "Just, um, don't say anything to anyone?" I held my breath, waiting for an answer.

"Your secret is safe with me," she said with a small smile.

I felt relieved and let my breath out slowly. I'm sure the Athosians didn't have a concept of patient-doctor privilege, but I knew Teyla would keep her word. "Very good. Excellent," I stammered and walked past her.

Sometimes even geniuses need someone to talk to.
