One day at the Big Harbour, the Dispatcher had a very important announcement for the Tugs.
"There is a storm coming in." he said. "So I need you all to stay in your docks tonight-is that understood?"
"Yes Dispatcher!" They all said.
"Good," he replied. "Now off you go. It will be very windy and too dangerous to move so until you are given the word, you have to stay where you are."
...
As they started back, Hank suddenly saw a familiar shape a bit further out. He realized with horror that it was Leland!
"Oh no! Wait, the Dispatcher wouldn't allow him out in that kind of weather... would he?"
Hank thought maybe Leland had to deliver supplies for the storm and its aftermath.
But even though he kept telling himself that, he had a feeling that something was very wrong.
"Hank what's wrong?" Theodore asked. "Are you scared? It's okay, it'll be over-"
"No Theodore, I'm not scared of the storm- I'm scared for Leland." He explained.
"What do you mean?"
So Hank told him about seeing Leland at out sea.
"But that's dangerous!" Theodore cried. "Quick, we should warn Dispatcher!"
...
"You two were told to stay in your dock!" The Dispatcher scolded on seeing them both out.
"But it's an emergency!" Hank cried. "Leland's out there!"
The Dispatcher didn't waste time. "Theodore, go and get Foduck!" He ordered. "He knows about these things best, and Hank, you'll go with him to ensure a safe rescue. Theodore, once you've told Foduck of our situation, go back to your dock."
Theodore and Hank said goodbye and once Foduck was summoned, the pair set off with unfaltering tow ropes, unerring caution and unwavering courage, they set off for the rescue.
...
It had been a long and hard mission. Hank was very scared, but he did everything Foduck told him to and helped him pull Leland bravely back towards the Big Harbour.
Once they arrived, Leland was parked in an empty dock and Foduck went back to the one he shared with George.
"How was it?" Theodore asked.
But poor Hank was out of the count.
...
The next day, Hank and Foduck were both thanked by Leland and the Dispatcher for their brave rescue.
As the other tugs and Leland cheered for Foduck and Hank, the little harbour tug had learned the importance of telling someone in charge about when danger is afoot.
