Tall dark and supermanly
He puts papers in his briefcase and drives away
To save the world or go to work
It's the same thing to me
He's got his [father's] eyes, his [mother's] ambition
I wonder if he knows how much that I miss him
And I know every word that you say
You smile and say, "how are you?"
I say just fine
I always forget to tell you, I love you, I love you
Forever.

Annabeth ran a hand through her blonde bangs, pushing them back and away from her face. She stared at the majestic lavender wall in front of her and smiled at her own expense. A blank page of lined paper lay in front of her, a pen in her hand. The black pen shook in her grip as she lowered it to the paper. She wrote with deliberate slowness, etching out every letter perfectly, careful not to let her hand waver anymore. I love Percy Jackson. Even she, the daughter of Athena, couldn't decide exactly what drew her to him. But it was there. That spark.

She looked out the window of her cabin, seeing him shuffling the papers he'd been carrying with him lately. His hair looked darker than usual in the reflection of the moon, just a sliver of light shining. She sighed aloud. But then her eyes flickered down to the blueprints in front of her and she shook her head.

She knew he was going home for a week; she'd already told him goodbye. The last time he had gone home he'd been given a quest within an hour and a half. So, even if he thought he was going to his mother's, he was probably going to end up saving the world. Again.

He opened the car door of his silver Jeep, and she almost ran out to him, but then remembered that he'd already said goodbye. Her problem was that his eyes made it impossible for her to say anything. Those beautiful sea green eyes that he inherited from his father were captivating and calculating. But she still, in her own way, tried to convince him that Sally was fine. It didn't work. Unfortunately for her, he had his mom's ambition. And once he had his mind set, there was no changing it.

Her top layer of skin erupted in gooseflesh as she thought about it. I wonder if he misses me. I miss him already…

A Week Later:

She hugged him when she saw him, and led him to the campfire. He asked how she was. She told him she was just fine. But, as many times as this happened, there was always something she forgot to tell him.

You loved him.

Okay… first PJO fic. It kind of sucked, I know. But I wrote it in about thirty minutes. While I was listening to Taylor Swift and "Toddlers & Tiaras."

Yeah… distracting. But, I am planning
