Prologue: The Beginning
The King paced back and forth. He flinched every time he heard his beloved queen scream in pain. He wanted to step in the room so badly to be by her side, but the doctors told him that he would only be in the way. His first instinct was to tell the doctor off, but he knew the doctor was only doing her job. He felt useless though. His beloved wife is giving a miracle while he's outside doing nothing. Until finally...he heard a cry. Minutes later there was another cry. His heart was already swelling with love by the sound of those cries. Those are his children. The doctor let him in and he was instantly by his wife's side. She was exhausted, but she had a weak smile and still looked very beautiful. On her chest was two babies. One baby had his blue hair and the other had his queen's red hair.
"They're beautiful." The King spoke for the first time in 10 minutes since he's been in the room. "Just like their mother."
The Queen grins and looks back down at the babies. "Did you hear that, my angels? Your papa says your beautiful like your mama." She spoke gently. She glances at her husband. "Would you like to hold one of your daughters?"
Daughters... Never in his mind did he ever think he was going to have a daughter. But now he has two. "I would love to." He held the baby with blue hair. "I really think they will grow up to become as beautiful as you. Maybe I'll have to start doubling the security, so no man or boy would look at either of you."
"Now, now. Wait until they're at the age where they want to stay away from us and chase after boys."
The King pouts childishly. "I'd never let that happen! They will forever be daddy's little girls!"
"Whatever you say, papa."
Papa. The King didn't mind those words. He'll look forward to the day when the girls would call "papa."
3 months had passed since the twins birth and the King has never been so happy. He treasure everyday and sees his beloved daughters whenever he has nothing to do. But today was a different day! Today was the day his fellow friends come to see his adorable creations! In the nursery, the queens of the Moon, Flame, Seed, Windmill, Water drop, and Diamond Kingdoms hovered around the twins cribs. Each adoring the cute girls. The toddlers are in the playroom next door being watched by the maids.
"Have you heard?" Whispered the Moon King to the Kings. "There's a fellow going around stealing precious items."
"So? What does that have to do with anything?" The Flame King whispers back.
The Moon King rolled his eyes. "They're not just any regular items." He glanced at the Queens then leaned closer to men. They all followed. "Half the time it's children."
"WHAT?!" Exclaimed the Seed King. Immediately the Diamond King covers his mouth. They all look back at the wives and at each other.
"That's not even the worst part. You see the children disappear. As if they never existed to begin with. There has been times where..." The Moon King takes a deep breath. "Where they found one of the missing child broken..."
"Broken?" Diamond King repeated nervously. "Why are you telling us this now?!"
"Because I just learned it on my way here!" The Moon King hissed. "I didn't want to ruin such a joyance day, but this is serious! I had to use this chance to warn you all. Especially since the Sunny Princesses are big news right now. So, Sunny King, what will you do?"
The King looked at his wife. Her smiling face and laughing at a few comments. And her loving eyes as she looked at her daughters. Finally he said, "I'll do whatever it takes. To protect my wife and daughters."
Later on the King told his Queen the rumors and she agreed it was important to make higher security.
But...it was too late.
On that cold night when he had just put his daughter to bed, he went to go check on his second born. No matter how many times he looked at her, he was reminded of his wife. It wasn't a bad thing. She had the Queen's hair and eyes. No doubt she was most likely going to be a miniature version of the queen as a child. Yet...he couldn't find himself to hold her. Every time he got close to holding her, he felt this sudden nervousness. Like if he held her, she could break to pieces. As he left the nursery and made his way to his chambers, there was a crash and his daughters crying.
Without a second thought he yelled,"GUARDS!" And rushed back into the nursery.
Everything was a blur. The moment he slammed the doors open, he only caught a glimpse of the intruder. The intruder was skeleton like and his eyes were hallow. In his arms was he beloved daughter who resembles his dear wife. "Long live royalty." The intruder sang and jumped out the window.
"NO!" The King yelled angrily and fearfully. He ran to the window and looked out. Weirdly the intruder was nowhere to be found. Once the guards came in, the King turned to them with a desperate look. "Search high and low! Search EVERYWHERE! Find Princess Fine!"
For days people have searched yet the princess was nowhere to be found. The only thing they found was her bracelet. A bloodied bracelet.
